La République du Cameroun: le renouveau témoigne de son âge

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

In La République du Cameroun, it is over a month since the RDPC “won” – well, that is, was declared winners of the presidential poll, by Mr Biya;s hand-picked Constitutional Council.

When Mr Biya first came in 1982, his catch phrase was “renouvea”, the French for renewal. Now ailing and decided not “new”, he is fighting the people of La République du Cameroun against “renouveau”. How ironic!

This week, in more “evidence”, for want of a better word, of the RDPC’s fight against renewal in La République du Cameroun, Mr Biya’s government has deployed military units to encircle the home of Prof Maurice Kamto, he who was pre-defeated in the infamous and embarrassing, president poll, to stop his party from … meeting. Meanwhile, propagandists of Mr Biya’s RPDC have published another precious letter of congratulations on social media to show that an important foreign country state has shown implied support for the presidential poll!

At this point, Mr Biya’s RDPC seems so desperate that they have not deemed it necessary to “renew” the inept and corrupt government which had already largely survived Mr Biya’s 2018 poll rig. The question asks itself: what is Mr Biya planning to do other than fight the citizens he promised peace to in the run up to the October 12th 2025 poll rig? No movement to start using the “mandate” to govern yet but he has resorted to calling out the armed forces to stand against “the people”!

Since the poll, some of the validator “candidates” have broken their cover and started “offering to take part in a government of national unity”. In 2018, they had carried out their task by making noises and complaints about the electoral system prior to the poll, and then quickly folding and congratulating Mr Biya after the poll rig. Even back in 2018, it was clear Libii, Osih or even Muna were not contenders but were only in for the cheques. This year, they again fulfilled the same role but, having banked the cheques, they are making overtures and angling to join the gravy train that is Mr Biya’s “government”. Poor La République du Cameroun!

It is such a good time to call oneself Ambazonian! Imagine having to admit to being from La République du Cameroun. It is time for Ambazonians to return to Complimentary Commitment to actualize their freedom. All the Ambazonians out of harms way away from ground zero should do their duty and support the brave Ambazonian Restoration Forces Plus. They can do so by getting back to their choice of Independentist Entity.

Many of the major independentist groups are signatories of the Leadership Pact, working collaboratively under the umbrella of the [Ambazonian] Consultative Commission. Ambazonia News urges Ambazonians to press their chosen groups to work more actively to remove this final humiliation of of being occupied by a lame duck RDPC which is unable even to “enjoy” its stolen election victory in their own place.

Corruption in Cameroon: The Biya Administration Exposed

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Mr Biya “did so swear” again. At Ambazonia News we would gladly swear that all the fingers on his obscured hand were crossed, just as they were the previous times. Legend has it that if one swears intending to dupe or lie, or not meaning it, they avert the curse if they have their fingers crossed. Ergo, Mr Biya’s fingers must have been crossed.

In his previous term, he failed to protect the any aspect of the country’s interests, instead spending vast periods of time wasting the nations resources, he could have deployed to create health facilities for the benefit of the nation, on lavish personal provision, admittedly for his health but hardly for the benefit of the nation. On the subject of health facilities, have failed to cater for the numerous women who fell victim to a corrupt and inefficient decaying health “infrastructure”.

It is common knowledge that many women “lost” their babies delivered in the system, sometimes said to have died during birth, sometimes literally “misplaced”, as in stolen from the institutions. Some were detained after “treatment”, or, more accurately, a “stay” in “hospital”, until they could cough up the fees. He did not try to provide the basic health care, a president should, who has sworn without crossed fingers.

In La République du Cameroun, under Mr Biya’s watch, it has also become normal to openly demand bribes from travelers on numerous check-points. These check points have been constant, including during all the peaceful periods, and are openly acknowledged and understood to be a racket run by the police hierarchy to supplement their pay. That means business is stifled on a daily basis. The hard-working citizens have to factor in these extra random costs which render business completely unpredictable and anything from less rewarding to pointless. When it comes to business in LRC, any operator must first become corrupt and metaphorically willing to swim in a cesspool.

As for the young who are supposed to be beneficiaries, according to Mr Biya’s latest promise, gaining admission into any public educational institution is paid for, for the lucky. The “concours” system is known to be a racket for ministers to collect huge sums to designate the “pass list” for places such as ENAM, which, unsurprisingly, produces corrupt administrators, who borrow colossal amounts to gain access to “training” and then immediately, on graduation, try to recoup their investment. Even secondary schools generally operate on a “Tchoko” system where spaces are sold.

The ENAM graduates all rely on Mr Biya for appointments.

Mr Biya’s fingers must have been crossed in 2018 as he hardly appeared during his expiring term, instead wandering the globe usually oblivious of where he was and what he was there to do and wasting resources he could have deployed to keep some of his promises – except he had crossed fingers.

Even forgetting that he did not formally declare that he was running for the latest poll, it is still odd that he did not turn up to any campaign during the process. He also left the country during the campaign to get medical treatment abroad, highlighting hi own failure and negligence to provide health care he could rely on. This fact would be political death in any other democracy, and was for Mr Biya, except it did not matter because the poll was utterly unfair.

ELECAM, the election commission is his commission of his party members. The aforementioned administrators from ENAM are all appointed by him and they are in charge of the logistics of the poll. If one could ignore the unfairness of ELECAM and the ENAM administrators, one still has to reckon with the Constitutional Council, a group of retired judges, all members of Mr Biya’s party and appointed by him!

The upshot of all these is that Mr Biya, who has failed seven times in providing for his citizens, did not formally enter the race nor campaign AND was running genocidal conflicts in parts of the country, and therefore should not have been able to stand is a very unlikely, and unbelievable “winner”. “Unbelievable” as in “lacking credibility”. There is no credibility in any idea that anyone with the flaws Mr Biya “brought” into the campaign could have won, never mind that he did not even campaign!

Unsurprisingly, the diplomatic missions in La République du Cameroun were loath to be seen at his investiture and nor did they send him any messages of congratulations on the election. The US sent a letter to congratulate Mr Biya on his investiture. The electoral charade may as well never have happened!

Mr Biya is not the only one to blame. On reflection he could be argued to be blame-free of the whole system. Clearly he did not personally “tamper” with the ballots in “North West” or “South West” or anywhere else.

The system in La République du Cameroun is as untenable, not to say intolerable, as the French system around the 1780s. As the best student of the French Mr Biya must have ways of avoiding the fate of the French system all those centuries ago.

Whether the people of of La République du Cameroun “object” or not, Mr Biya will find that time objects more and more as he tries to navigate another term of high instructions.

Ambazonia’s route

Ambazonia had a small hope of a slightly more genuine negotiated exit from the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle thanks to Mr Tchiroma’s manifesto “commitments”, even if they fell well short. As short as they fell, they went much further, and infact, out of sight of any ideas Mr Biya has postulated. It is well known that, regardless of any double-talk, Mr Biya literally offers no solution as he hopes to defeat Ambazonia’s quest for freedom. Equally, it was always virtually certain, from experience and thr RDPC’s “efforts” in the campaign that they would resort to their back-stops in the machinery and so Mr Tchiroma’s offer was only really useful for international partners to be aware that there could be an alternative solution to Mr Biya’s and the RDPC.

The reality now is as it was before the charade was entered in La République du Cameroun; we have to win our freedom. In a way, a clear and unique goal is no bad thing and the charade has blown many entities’ cover as well, further distilling the Ambazonian camp to the truest independentists. The truest independentists with experience and stronger arguments to present to any international partners of good will.

The truest independentists with clear sight of the fifth columnist who defied shame and indignity to operate the RDPC’s fraud machines purportedly from Ambazonian soil. Their day is coming.

Ambazonia’s day is imminent.

The watch words are “Daring Move”, “Action and Accountability”, “Complimentary Commitment” and “Building Bridges”.

Ambazonia’s Response to Biya’s Re-election: A Fragile Future

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

As expected, the hand-picked and dozy Constitutional Council announced Mr Biya as the winner of the 12th October 2025 presidential poll in La République du Cameroun. The decision from a feeble would-be grandiose presentation had already been trailed and rejected by the already-wised-up electorate. For the week before the announcement, while Biyta’s proxies tried to “bring back” Tchiroma in “secret” negotiations in France, there was a fevered atmosphere of “not this time” as more and more PV’s showed a clear victory for Tchiroma, Mr Biya’s camp dismissing the evidence as “raw data”.

“Raw data” would be laughable in other contexts. In La République du Cameroun sounded as ominous as “guarantor of peace, youth interest, women’s interests”, the ideas which were postulated in Mr Biya’s “ambitions” for an 8th term! Those Ambitions, with hindsight could be seen as threats, suggesting Mr was threatening to unleash his yet-more-misnamed “forces of law and order” on the “beneficiaries” of those electoral “ambitions”. The “ambitions” would not tally with a long “serving” president who is running a civil war against women, children and youths; has maintained a system of “only-the-old”, whose only objective is to survive. During the “campaign” , in which he did not campaign or even present his own candidature, he had to go to Europe for medical care, having failed to achieve in four decades, the simple ambition of creating one health facility to which he would entrust he care. In his last term and prior, women have lost babies in hospitals, many patients have been detained for bills … Even his proxies would not swallow his “ambitions”. In context, “raw data” – not yet cooked, not yet “processed”, not yet falsified.

“The people” have rejected Mr Biya’s “re-election” with [sporadic] marches of protest which have left Mr Biya and his proxies seeking ways to “exercise authority”, to the extent that they have gone to ridiculously petty lengths. One of the “targets” is reported to be Mr Biya’s self-proclaimed best supporter being stopped from entering Garoua and turned around to return to Yaounde. Yes, because “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”, Pr Messaga Nyamding was prevented, on arrival, from leaving Garoua Airport and sent back on the same aircraft.

This suggests Mr Biya’s cronies were hopping to be breaking more limbs by now. Instead, they are left waiting. Ambazonia News does understand there have been several deaths. The atmosphere, though is still expectant.

Mr Biya’s regime is in place still – just. It is very much devoid of any power. It is not in power. Even the traditional “letter of congratulations” has not arrived from mentor France!

Imagine being in office but not in power, looking for ways to “show” or exercise power.

By contrast, there are more voices openly challenging the regime but cleverly not presenting the regime with the fodder they would dearly love to go at! The Camerounese have their voices back and have finally caught up with the idea that they must run their own lives and livelihoods. Ambazonia News will keep tabs on the various ways they device to nudge Mr Biya’s regime aside.

This story is not yet told! The regime is going to die of idleness and self doubt at this rate.

What should Ambazonians do?

Nothing new. There was never going to be a speedy solution whatever the result in La République du Cameroun’s poll. The fragility of Biya’s regime does present an opening.

Ambazonia does not to clean up the slur that Mr Biya “received 86%” of votes in Northern Ambazonia. Though this clearly fictional, the authors still need to account for the damage to the memory of all the ARF, women and children who have fallen to La République du Cameroun’s genocide.

From Ambazonia’s perspective Mr Biya’s “victory” has the one positive of keeping our number of choices at one. We still need to get our country back and one more year of experience only helps.

We need to stride out now more focused on what we need to do and do it with, for want of a better phrase, sang froid, deliberately aiming our efforts for the most impact and effectiveness in uprooting the illegal and forceful occupier.

Tchiroma “Wins” but … Biya could still be announced.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

“Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun” is a summary of an electoral process which, in any other corner of the world would not be under discussion, never mind “in the balance”.

But, as “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”, Tchiroma’s victory, like those of Fru Ndi in 1992 and of Kamto in 2018, is still in “doubt” despite every “indication” and reasonable observation showing it as the inevitable outcome.

Mr Biya did not campaign, anymore than he did in 2018 when he “won” through control of the football, the goal posts, the referee, the match delegate … and a back stop of the “homologation committee”.  “What is a homologation committee?”, some might ask. In Cameroun football, there is a committee which can change he results of league games in football, sometimes weeks after the final whistle, no jokes!

The ”doubt” over Mr Tchiroma’s victory is purely down to the “convention” that the “homologation” committee has to announce official results. Sorry we are confused at Ambazonia News!  In the case of presidential polls, the equivalent of the homologation committee (of football) is the “Constitutional Council” a backstop in the true sense to ensure that the RDPC, really in this case Mr Biya would be announced as the “winner”. In football, when the homologation committees change results they cite “irregularities” and that is quite rare, but suffice it to note that they really do exist and can be dusted off in “emergencies”. The “Constitutional Council” usually stands in to “reject irregularities” raised by contenders. For instance, they would reject the irregularity that the election process is handled all over La Republique du Cameroun and in the Diaspora, literally,  and managed by functionaries whose continued employment relies on patronage and membership  of Mr Biya’s RDPC. Even when they cart off ballots to other locations out of sight and regularity, this homologation committee rejects complaints. Nominally the Constitutional Council is a separate arm of La Republique du Cameroun’s system, but in reality, the members are all appointed by Mr Biya and have membership of the RDPC.  Hence, even though Mr Biya did not present his candidature or campaign, it is still a real possibility that he could be announced as the “winner”!

In addition to not declaring his candidature or campaigning, he has a record which would, in any other country, have shamed him out of attempting to run again – even by proxy. As “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun” his proxies announced his candidacy for him, issued his campaign on “high instructions”, started a campaign of intimidation for him and generally set about preparing the ground for the homologation committee Constitutional Council to announce for him again. MINAT, for instance has been threatening all and sundry with the comical idea of “the law” even though “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”!

The bad news for RDPC this time is that Mr Biya is not physically up to it, never mind mentally! He had to be transported to Europe in the middle of the campaign for medical care, which, in any other electoral campaign where it could not be said “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”, would spell doom for any candidate, even ones who were not responsible for not having ONE medical institution in the country where they could entrust their health care. Mr Biya has been in charge for nearly a half-century and cannot boast of being able to trust any health care institution created on his watch! But “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”.

His proxies also tried to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear when they tried to portray Mr Biya as the “guarantor of security, women’s  and young people’s interests”.

In La Republique du Cameroun, the job of youths and women is to come out and dance when Mr Biya returns from medical treatment in Europe. Clearly not all of them can do that so the rest are unemployed and unable to make ends meet.  The irony of being 92, unable to handle a “run” for another seven-year term, having to leave the manipulation run to proxies would appear to be too subtle, given that tag and the knowledge that the top of his “out-going” administration is populated by sickly over-aged individuals, who all benefit from being able to by-pass the lack of medical institutions they can trust in their country.

In Ambazonia, which RPDC and Mr Biya like to claim to be part of La Republique du Cameroun, Mr Biya has had a lot of poor people’s children risking their lives to kill, among others, youth, women and children of Ambazonia – a logical part, were his tag to be credited, of the groups whose interests his proxies are proposing he would guarantee.

“Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun” is why there is even any tension over Mr Tchiroma’s victory when Mr Biya did not declare a candidacy, campaign or have any record to show for his previous tenure, instead only having a record that would, were “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”  not applicable, have spared everyone his name on the ballot!

Ambazonia News will re-post our Consultative Commission and Ambazonian Leadership  Pact’s crisis plan.  This would appear to be sorely needed to prepare our citizens as the signs are ominous and getting more so with the illogical “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun” tension still hanging in the air like an over-staying inept, incompetent, corrupt dictator.

Ambazonian Prisoners of Conscience petition Commonwealth Chief on Election Observers in LRC

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The Ambazonian Prisoners of Conscience (APOC) have petitioned the Secretary General of the Commonwealth, The Right Honourable Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey to withdraw observers from the La République du Cameroun presidential poll on 12th October 2025.

Through Counsel, they argue that the Commonwealth’s good name is under threat of rolling in the mud due to La Republique du Cameroun’s conduct of the genocidal war of aggression against Ambazonian civilians over the last 8-years.

Among other human rights and international law abuses, the APOC list village burnings, mass displacements and the refoulement of some of their number with the complicity of other Commonwealth member states.

The 8 year old conflict has seen massacres in villages, such as Ngarbuh where civilian women and children were killed by units of La République du Cameroun’s forces, who first denied it, then later blamed a “bavure” and instituted an infinite investigation.

They have also fired into school-run traffic respectively in Buea and Bamenda, killing two kindergarten girls, killings for which no responsibility or justice have been seen or done.

By agreeing to validate those elections and lending their name to a tainted process, the Commonwealth risks confirming the perception that their much vaunted values only apply to the white citizens of the club, as they have consistently tolerated abuses by dictators in black member states, regularly validating dubious polls.

The La République du Cameroun poll is already tainted by the fact that the favourite incumbent has not appear either to declare his candidacy nor to campaign. It is, therefore, going to be unreasonable for the Commonwealth to line itself behind the authors of such an “irregular” process and still claim to be the promoters of democracy and good governance, quite apart from having tolerated the ordeal of the APOCS over so many years.

Mr. Tchiroma’s Missteps: Ambazonian Sovereignty Explained

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

As La République du Cameroun approaches their impossible conundrum of a poll, contender Tchiroma has been recounting what he “knows” of Ambazonian history – very kind of him. Ambazonians should beware and not be moved by such faint flattery. For one thing the flattery carefully avoids the important facts of Ambazonian history.

While Tchorima did state that La République du Cameroun gain independence before Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia), he omitted to point out that La République du Cameroun gain her thence frozen international borders on that fateful 1st of January 1960, meaning that while La République du Cameroun is known as La République du Cameroun, Ambazonian cannot be legally or logically within her borders nor, therefore, fall under La République du Cameroun’s sovereignty. Knowing this, Mr Tchiroma, would not be able to make the promises he made or continue to imply that when/if he became President of La République du Cameroun, that he would grant favours to Ambazonia under any assumption of “internal solution” of a wholly external conflict. As the legal position stands, Ambazonia is a separate country from La République du Cameroun so any negotiations cannot proceed from any idea that La Republique du Cameroun could grant a federation to a separate “state of equal status”.

The second omission by Mr Tchiroma was that the federation, he rightly recounted, was never signed off and, therefore, both states are as if the status was still frozen at the negotiation stages between 1960 and 1961. Had the federation been signed off and respected, the provisions/terms would not have allowed any changes the form of the federal state without the separate majority approvals of both states. That is, West Cameroon and East Cameroon would have needed to separately vote for a change before it could be instituted. Even the idea of holding a referendum would have had to be agreed separately by both separate “states of equal status” in their parliaments before any such referendum could be held. The Federation already suffering from a lack of legitimacy was further abused by a “member” state against rights of the other. Mr Tchiroma left this out from his account, which means he would continue this illegality were he to somehow emerge as the “winner” of La République du Cameroun’s poll.

As if the lack of treaty and the illegal referendum were not enough, Mr Tchiroma also glossed over the 1984 decree which effectively seceded La République du Cameroun from the dubious “United Republic of Cameroon”. Though it is clear that the URC itself was a tenuous entity owing to its origins, having emerged from an incomplete federation, illegally transformed, it had the small merit of not being the La Republique du Cameroun which had borders established in 1960 without Souther Cameroons (Ambazonia). So Mr Biya open a one-way door and dragged La Republique through. The only state with the right and prerogative to choose whether to open that door again from the other side if Ambazonia. La République du Cameroun had has no further sovereignty over Ambazonia and neither Mr Tchiroma nor any other contender in La Republique du Cameroun’s poll will have any legal or logical power to grant any favours to Ambazonia under any idea of a federation, especially that state having established and demonstrated that disadvantages of any association over the last six decades.

Mr Tchiroma will also be aware that HCB 28/92 established that La République du Cameroun were illegal forceful occupiers of Ambazonia, a ruling and conundrum which remains unresolved. If Mr Tchiroma or any other runners in the La République du Cameroun poll are unaware they need to source a copy of Le Messager to peruse the ruling. Ambazonia’s self-determination is external and is non-negotiable, belonging solely to the sovereign people of Ambazonia.

Whatever promises or nods occur or are implied between any parties originating from Ambazonia, Ambazonian sovereignty cannot be traded by any of the fifth column who may want to make-believe that they represent Ambazonia in La République du Cameroun.

What Mr Tchiroma should do is promise to pursue the aborted negotiations started in Canada where Ambazonian Leaders were available to negotiate at an appropriate status external to La Republique. As Mr Tchiroma said the internal so-called “great national dialogue” was inappropriate and had no power as it wrongly sought to cast Ambazonia as internal to a state with separate far-removed borders. Even the presence of some presumptuous fifth columnists did not translate to any king of Ambazonian representation.

There is no such thing as NOSO in La République du Cameroun – your borders do not extend that far.

The Most High God is the Watchman of Ambazonia.

For meaningful peace negotiations start from the legally right premise.

Ambazonia News expects all international partners of good faith to come to the aid of La République du Cameroun’s political classes to get them to the position of accepting the legal reality that they seem to willfully ignore, and turn a blind eye to seemingly hoping “everything will be alright” even if the HCB 28/92 is still pending.

Evaluating Libii’s Promises Amidst Election Tensions

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

According to certain LRC media Mr Biya has returned from his “private trip” home to Europe. He is still invisible less than a fortnight to a vote he is projected to win. So confident “is” he that he has promised reforms to “establish” certain prerogatives for “represented” parties. As usual those media are making a silk purse of Mr Biya’s generous and benevolent gesture. At Ambazonia News we see no value or logic in exploring the audacious stance of somebody who is so unqualified that he is employing proxies for every aspects of “his campaign”. But “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”, right? Luckily, the Most High would have it, Mr Biya ensured that Ambazonia is legally outside the reach of his absurd machinations.

Meanwhile validator Libii appeared in an iron circle in Bamenda where he promised to solve what he called “the Anglophone Crisis”.

To be fair he confirmed that the Ambazonian Restoration Fighters Plus have the nation on lock-down as he listed all the institutions that are closed and acknowledged that his photo-op was a false and misleading image as it was a non-representative production, being untenable for a “non-candidate”.

His promised “solution”, like those of his fellow candidate/validators, assumed that Ambazonia is still part of LRC, ignoring HCB 28/92. He stated that he would “hold more great national dialogues”, presumably as the same sort of benevolent condescension that Mr Biya attempted. Clearly he will not “win” as he also “revealed” that the vote is likely to be “rigged, like previous votes”, so he is the fortunate position of not having to deliver on his promised but simply collect his validation fee from RDPC/France.

Mr Libii should peruse HCB 28/92 before he makes utterly incongruous and undeliverable promises. Any of his ades and those of his fellow validators should avail themselves of the HCB 28/92 which is available in Le Messager in French though a first link search.

At Ambazonia News we know that the Ambazonian Leaders Pact expect the resolution of the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle will be eventually be through dialogue – not of the type Mr Libii, no doubt, sincerely preached, but from the premise of external self-determination. It is important the “gouvernants” and aspiring “gouvernants” should get on the right and realistic page of the story and skill up for the only possible solution process.

It should be remembered that La Republique du Cameroun has internationally defined borders established at independence on the 1st January 1960 nearly a year before the defunct and dissolved Federal Republic of Cameroon was concocted from the would-be Ambazonia LRC as separate states of equal status. Of course the federation was never signed off before LRC seceded in 1984 [HCB28/92]

Ignoring the reality that Ambazonian legally lies outside LRC makes Me Libii’s attempts to woo Ambazonians nine years after their continuous suffering at the hands of his country men  not just a callous insult but a sore standout as a typical carpet-bagger who has the dry-eye to come and shed crocodile tears just because he wants to earn his corn from RDPC and France for validating their charade, conveniently forgetting the flaws in the elections processes going back to the last vote!

At Ambazonia News we urge all Ambazonians, who we know to be already committed to their own self-determination, external to LRC, to continue to hold on for our collective minds are made and our faith will see us through.

Our faith lies in the Most High God who is Watchman of our Nation.

The Illusion of Voting in Ambazonia (Southern Cameroons)

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

My dear Brothers and Sisters of Southern Cameroons (Anglophones)

By Tsi Conrad

I speak to you today with a heavy heart, and with the weight of our history and a spirit burning for the future of our children. I see the weariness in your eyes, and I understand the desire for a simple path to peace. Many of you still hold onto the hope that we can find justice within the system of La République du Cameroun, that casting a ballot in 2025 is the civilized and correct path. I thought so too before.

But I am here to tell you that this hope, while born of a good and peaceful heart, is a dangerous illusion. It is the same gentle spirit of compromise that has led us to this precipice of destruction.

Our forefathers, in 1961, chose the path of trust. They believed in the promise of a federal union of two equal states. They extended a hand of brotherhood, hoping to build a nation together. But that trust was our original sin. It was a gentleman’s agreement with an entity that had no intention of being a gentleman. The federation was a lie, a stepping stone for our complete assimilation. They dismantled our institutions, eroded our educational system, supplanted our common law, and treated our homeland as a colony to be plundered, all while we watched, trusting the process.

Some of you say, “Let’s vote for change.” I ask you to cast your minds back to 1992. Remember the energy? Remember the hope that surged through our streets when Ni John Fru Ndi, one of our own, won the presidential election? We tasted victory. We believed that the ballot box could finally give us a voice. And what happened? That victory was stolen in broad daylight. The regime in Yaoundé stole the election. They sent us a message, an Anglophone will never preside over their nation. They showed us that our votes, and our choices are ultimately worthless to them.

Now, they ask you to believe again. They dangle the carrot of the 2025 elections. Let us play this out. Let us imagine that by some miracle, an opposition candidate wins. The regime, as it always has, will simply refuse to cede power. And then what? Who will take to the streets to defend that stolen victory? Will it be our Francophone counterparts, who have stood by for decades while we were marginalized? Or will it be us again? Will Southern Cameroonians be called upon to bleed and die, not for our own flag, not for our own sovereignty, but to defend the “victory” of another candidate within a system that is fundamentally designed to crush us? Why must we always be the ones to sacrifice for a union that has never loved us back?

Look around you. You are a minority in their parliament, a minority in their government, and a permanent minority in their national consciousness. You will always be treated as such. The resources from our land are siphoned off to develop their cities while our roads turn to mud and our hospitals crumble. Our people are harassed, our culture is ridiculed, and our very identity is targeted for erasure. To believe that you can vote your way out of this systemic subjugation is to ignore sixty years of painful reality. Voting only serves to legitimize the very regime that oppresses us, giving them a veneer of democracy to show the world, while the rigging machine is already in place.

This should be about choosing a future for Southern Cameroons. The fight we are in now is not a fight for another man’s political party. It is a fight for our very soul. It is a fight for something that is ours by right. Our land, our heritage, our dignity, and our freedom.

To those of you who benefit from a few crumbs from the regime’s table, I ask you, is your temporary comfort worth the price of your people’s future? History will remember this moment. It will remember who stood for justice and who chose to remain silent in the face of tyranny.

The path to freedom is never easy. It is watered with sweat and tears, and yes, sometimes with blood. But it is the only path that leads to a lasting peac. A peace we can call our own. A peace where our children will grow up as first class citizens in their own country, not as second class subjects in someone else’s.

Our freedom is inevitable. Your support will hasten its arrival and reduce the suffering. Your inaction will only prolong the struggle. But make no mistake, IT WILL NEVER STOP IT. The spirit of a people determined to be free is the most powerful force on earth. We are on a one way road to a free Southern Cameroons.

Choose to be on the right side of history. Join us, and let us fight for the future our children deserve.

Charades Continue as Invisible Man, Biya, continues “bid” for 8th Term

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Charades Continue as Invisible Man continues bid for 8th Term – they are no longer pretending that he is “doing anything for himself”. His “supporters” are meeting him by proxy! He has had the seventh term by proxy and his proxies now think his invisibility is … invisible!

In La République du Cameroun they have a few gems they roll out to describe and lament their plight. Every time they[resigned lamentations] are deployed, they [the victim-citizens of La République du Cameroun] must think “We have heard this before! Think of something new!”.

Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun is the most apt encapsulation of the helplessness that encompasses the victims of LRC.

How is it that “the favourite to “win” the election” has not even been seen declaring his candidature? Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun.

Why are the bishops trooping to Etoudi to support a political venture against their “flocks”? Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun.

How did the bishops cope with the idea that they did not meet the person they went to meet and been seen supporting? le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun.

OK so men of God should be peace-loving but surely they are not just supposed to preach “turn the other chick” without any pretence of seeking justice! How can they preach that while rushing to be seen supporting the party slapping they chicks?

What about the rag-tag group of “North West Chiefs”? When did North West Chiefs become messengers to travel to another person palace and stand to deliver a message? How did they cope with the idea that they did not even get to see the person they went to support and be seen to support? Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun.

As they persons insist on be referred to as North West Chiefs, they are not fooling anyone, least of all themselves. They know that North West Chiefs are servants of their people who guard their people’s dignity.

Since these persons were mute at home burnings, killings of their youth, killings of toddlers on their way to school and all the other indignities and harms, to which their people have been subject for such a long time, they know that are not North West Chiefs. Even if le Cameroun C’est le Cameroun, North West Chiefs have not become messengers and supplicants who turn up to worship an absent invisible bloke! Not in our name. As they have voluntarily made laughing stocks of themselves Le Cameroun c’est li Cameroun is not enough to save face even to themselves.

Now to the invisible man – how will the invisible man run for a new term without appearing? Well, as le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun, it is possible that the same coterie which has declared his candidature without him, will run his campaign without him [or the electorate] and declare his victory without him needing to appear. After all, le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun. When this victory to the invisible man is declared, will the French turn up to congratulate the invisible man in his absence? After all, la France c’est la France, right?

One thing is for sure, when this macabre charade ends in three months, Ambazonia will be blessed to have been separated from La République du Cameroun.

What Ambazonian Citizens should do.

Collaborate: On the ground, Ambazonian citizens should work with each other to take their destiny in hand. They should have the courage and dignity to ignore the occupation. The thugs blocking your paths are not better than you. If you work with the ARF+, their stay on your path will be short-lived as their impunity will be removed. le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun will not save them because Ambazonia is not in La République du Cameroun. If they are expecting to keep playing games of “deference” where, apparently Mr Biya The invisible is so above all the electorate that he does not need to appear to declare his own candidature, to address the electorate for his own term, or even do anything during his expiring term, apart from letting it be said that “things are done in his name”, they have lost it. There is nobody at home. There dam will burst soon – inevitably and we need to have the courage of our convictions and take charge of our country

The ARF+ need to collaborate with, and protect, all civilians to ensure that have a demonstrably better standard of life and livelihood compared to what they get from forceful occupier, La République du Cameroun. That should not be too onerous considering the absurdities that the occupier passes under the filter of le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun. It will also provide a safer environment for ARF+ when they and our citizens feel the dignity of our collective belonging and civilisation. It takes only a very small step and thankfully, Ambazonia is now at a juncture where everyone has learnt. We need to apply that learning in choosing who we go with for our long term future. With our civilians empowered to take charge of their socio-political development, life will be safer for all of us as they cannot intimidate an empowered free people who know the righteousness of their cause.

Our long term future does not sustain on any temporary fear of the brutality of La République occupation. Our dignity and sense of fair play does not, either as we cannot sustain the opposite of what we know to be right. That is what brought us out in 2017. Nothing since then has proved us wrong. Everything has proved our choice right and the only sustainable cause especially now we are emerging from the backlash of La République du Cameroun militias.

We must hold our nerve and ignore the strange charades going on. The bishops don’t represent us. Nor do the chiefs who would rush to Yaoundé to deliver a message and supplicate to an empty room. We may still respect our institutions but the individuals acting in these charades do not represent us. We know who we are and we now know who we can accept and trust.

We must be thankful that they, the stooges/clowns of this sad saga, helped to demonstrate that La République du Cameroun is on their last legs, compounding absurdity on absurdity in an “Emperor’s New Clothes” tragi-comedy designed to make-believe this final time…

Can they continue with the Invisible Candidate? You decide if you are a La République du Cameroun Citizen. If you are Ambazonian, thankfully you can only watch this tragedy and count the days until they leave, as they must, having legally seceded from the union that never was in 1984 [HCB/28/92] – and good riddance!

The most High God is always the Watchman of Our Nation – Ambazonia, risen never to fall!

Kamto’s Luck: What he should do to serve even more.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

It is no longer news that Maurice Kamto has been “pre-defeated” by the Rassemblement Democratic du Peuple Camerounais, RDPC machine. While he has been disqualified from running, he can genuinely feel relieved at not having to be one of the validators once more, given that the “consensual reform” has not come to pass in the last seven years. Ambazonia News explores a range of the options, the silver linings that this dark cloud comes with for both Kamto and the MRC.

A step back to the lucky circumstances that allowed the RDPC to win this round sees its roots, and the RDPC’s mixed blessing in “Movement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun”, MRC deciding to boycott previous “electoral farces”, thereby handing the RDPC this “solution” this time around.

So was MRC right then or now?

The MRC was right to campaign for a fairer electoral system and, even more to applaud, for putting their money where their mouth was in refusing to play validators. It was a very good sign to show a demarcation between MRC and the other comic characters who call themselves the opposition and deliberately validate a biased “electoral system” at every opportunity for a few CFA.

Where the MRC failed was in effectively galvanising the electorate and the gourvenants’ mutuality to bring about the “consensual reform” of the electoral system they [MRC] had rightly invested so much to achieve. Even the pre-defeat of Maurice Kamto should also be to MRC’s credit for risking it to achieve reform. Kamto is now in a good position to publish a white paper on the reforms of the electoral system from a relatively neutral position as he cannot be seen as calling for a system to help him win.

He is also in a similarly advantageous position to coordinate a collaboration among the genuine opposition for the same reason that he can be seen as impartial and actually be impartial, not having to contend with the awkwardness of throwing his hat in the ring as the potential single torch bearer.

His [Kamto’s] disqualification could well not be the coup that the RDPC think if MRC follow up with the courage of their conviction in marshalling the opposition from an inevitably self-less – and therefore “patriotic” position. They could call themselves selfless fighters for the republic in this term.

The electorate of LRC needs to get used to the idea that someone can have the long fight rather than the usual ruses where hundreds turn up with fanfare only to fold to the RDPC in exchange for “their share” even while lamely blaming the obviously biased and flawed system. The electorate need to see the courage in having actually kept sincere rather than place-hold and validate just to have the chance to field their candidate.

For the MRC, this cloud has a silver lining.

If the MRC takes this opportunity they can go further by also seriously thinking about the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle. Without the burden of having to convince the electorate in La République du Cameroun, they can put some real effort into understanding the whole root causes, legal positions and the inevitable need to resort to negotiations to settle the conflict. There is no urgency and therefore it is no longer a politic to promise “to visit” with the implied same-flawed implication of granting an internal solution to a wholly legally separate state. They must be prepared to think the previously unthinkable, including what may have been, unmentionable grey-sky thinking had they been contending for the La République du Cameroun, presidency.

So MRC, if you pursue your brave stances, go and talk to Ambazonians and find out how to resolve the Liberation Struggle in a mutual way. It will help you when you come back to be able to make a substantial contribution to bring a just peace and stability to this Gulf of Guinea.

First hint for a starting point: while La République du Cameroun is called La République du Cameroun, MRC needs to come to terms and bring the understanding to les gourvenants of LRC that that means Ambazonia is outside their legal borders. MRC is also in a relatively better position intellectually to grasp the idea that the name change in 1984 was a one-way irreversible move for les gourvenants, which after its signing and announcement, immediately removed any further ability LRC governments to meddle in Ambazonia’s socio-political development and evolution, thereafter.

MRC needs to use this unexpected opportunity wisely to bring and clarify the mutuality that could see both states co-exist in a more constructive neighbourly mode.

Ambazonia’s Sovereignty Amid Cameroun’s Electoral Chaos

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

As we write, La République du Cameroun is in the throes of “election” fever, complete with the tragi-comic events that no fiction writer could deem plausible enough to publish! Be that as it may, they are acting it out. They are “pre-defeating” candidates while setting up processes to ensure that their “international partners” will be able to “pass the elections” as “not too flawed”. Remember that last time the “election observers” who “passed” the 2018 “elections” had as their main qualifications being white! It later emerged they had no expertise or experience, even if one goes past the utter embarrassment of continue to need rely on parading even really reputed observers.

Ambazonian independentists have issued reminders that “election” activities on their territory. It is only right to issue such reminders but is it necessary to ban? Yes and no.

It is right to “ban” to ensure our citizens are not induced to take part, be it by local fifth columnists or La République du Cameroun other agents. The ban falls fairly and squarely within the current Liberation Struggle and should be enforced by applying the appropriate and proportionate sanctions to all those who would seek to undermine our sovereignty even when it those acts are already illegal under international laws and statutes to which La République du Cameroun is signatory. For a reminder, the Ambazonia lies out side the borders of La République du Cameroun, which were frozen at their independence on 1st January 1960. In view of this fact, La République du Cameroun’s elections, even if they were less controversial, would not be legally welcome on Ambazonian territory. In view of the potential chaos that that exercise looks likely to unleash this time around, it ill-advised for anyone to expose our territory and civilians to such potential harm.

On the other hand, banning pre-supposes there is a plausible or legitimate event to ban – there is not and there need not be an explicit ban. We work towards the day when Ambazonians will know enough to simply ignore and “vote with their feet” so to speak! Until then Ambazonian leaders must keep banning just as La République du Cameroun’s carpet-baggers unfurl their wares to make impossible promises which they cannot fulfil and do not need to fulfil as Ambazonia does not need them.

“Candidate” Kamto is on record as promising to “visit” Ambazonia, though he referred to Ambazonia as “North West and South West regions”. The positive is that he clearly sees Ambazonia as being outside La République du Cameroun though he does not acknowledge it, preferring to let his electors continue to mistake La République du Cameroun as including Ambazonia.

“Candidate” Osih has stated that he would talk to [the leaders of] Ambazonia and that he would release those in prison first. He too did not explicitly acknowledge Ambazonia as a state but did put negotiations in prospect. Even though “his” party has failed to raise a debate on Ambazonia even once in nearly nine years of killings and displacement, while collecting payments from La République du Cameroun parliament, they are still labouring under the misconception that they represent Ambazonia in that foreign parliament. In that regard he and his party’s position is more callous for they have been a literal “front” allowing La République du Cameroun to imply that Ambazonia was represented in their parliament by non-RDPC persons. It is worth noting that they also, similarly, “validated” the so-called great national dialogue where they failed to put their big “electoral” offering, “federation”, on the agenda. While his “offers” may seem plausible for a starting point, no Ambazonia can count on them as he is extremely unlikely to turn out as anything other than a validator, providing the usual “front” when the RDPC “wins”, for them to claim they won in a “contest”. Apart from the virtually impossible chance of winning, it is worth reminding Ambazonians that they are not legal La République du Cameroun citizens, living in a territory outside La République du Cameroun borders, and should not join the SDF in providing the “front” to validate RDPC and other carpet-baggers’ illegal stance on Ambazonia.

Issa Tchiroma proposed the most feasible route even if it still suffers from the mistaken view of Ambazonia as part of La République du Cameroun. He proposed a referendum to let the people express their preferences. Mistaking Ambazonia as a part of La République du Cameroun would negate the efficiency of a referendum to resolve the Liberation Struggle/”anglophone crisis” in much the same way that the so-called referendum of 1972 entrenched La République du Cameroun in a state of illegality, setting a precedent for paradoxical violations of “the” constitution. To make his proposal feasible, it would need to be coupled with the acceptance that Ambazonia is outside La République du Cameroun and then the referendum with be exclusively for Ambazonians to avoid the same “rigging” that the 1972 already-illegal referendum suffered.

Akere Muna is the ultimate front, though he is even less likely to “win”. As a lawyer, he should know the legal position on Ambazonina and therefore, should not be playing validator again. Just like SDF, he has been in comfortable opposition of the RDPC while mute on the plight of Ambazonians. He has been displaying his “bilingualism”, Ambazonia News imagines, in a bid to placate that well-known king-maker country by not being too anglophone. The very last thing Ambazonia needs is to see a stooge validating a non-solution to her demand for justice and sovereignty. Ambazonia News is relaxed about that prospect as it would be an absurdity too far for Muna to “come from nowhere” to win whether he was installed by said kingmaker of defying virtual impossibility to defeat RDPC on their own pitch with their referee, linesmen, match delegate and the very La République du Cameroun backup of homologation committees. If he beats all that, he cannot beat the secession of 1984 when Mr Biya withdrew La République du Cameroun from the mere-de facto “union” of the then “united” Republic, previously “federal” Republic of Cameroon.

Ambazonians and Ambazonia should instead concentrate on planning how to cope in the aftermath of the La République du Cameroun electoral charade before continuing to work towards a settlement which does not defy the legal reality. Defying the legal reality is any purported settlement which ignores the secession and presents Ambazonia as a helpless supplicant being granted a settlement by La République du Cameroun.

La République du Cameroun no longer has anything to offer Ambazonia as they are “forcibly occupying Ambazonia” as per HCB/28/92, the Bamenda High Court ruling in “Republic of Ambazonia vs Republic of Cameroon”.

Could Biya do worse? It would appear “yes”!

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The only person who is proven to have nothing to contribute in La Republique du Cameroun’s  presidential “election” in October 2025 seems to “be” determined to plumb new depths to ensure he “wins” again.

Nevermind that he remains completely invisible due to health and other preoccupations, Mr Biya’s machine has taken its first step in ensuring his “victory”.  As a renowned “legalist” “president”, he is benefitting from legal methods (ab)used by his hand-picked party officials.

Apparently, and Ambazonia News has not confirmed yet, his most credible opponent, Maurice Kamto has been disqualified from running – legally!  If the sheep in La Republique du Cameroun stay true to form graze where they are tethered, Mr Biya should “win” again by a margin, we imagine, which Elecam must even now be weighing up for credibility.

As is the way with La Republique du Cameroun, the person who has a long record of reasons why they are the least “qualified” to run is having the path cleared for him.

It does not matter that he has been there for seven terms totalling forty three years and achieved sod all, he is preparing to do even more and win another term without even having had to declare his own candidacy!

It doesn’t matter that he has been there for forty three years and achieved sod all and has not even declared his own candidacy and has brought only war, abject poverty and suffering to his “electors”…

It doesn’t matter that he has been there for years, achieved sod all, not even declared his own candidacy, has brought only war, abject poverty poverty and suffering his electors and is the running the only country where all roads are lined with police collecting bribes and letting dangerously overloaded dilapidated scrap heaps with extra “seats” nailed in to put the lives of his electors at risk on what are jokingly called roads…

What is his secret? How is he so successful at winning elections?

Will the French be available again this year to send congratulations for the record win?

For our part, Ambazonia News urges all Ambazonians to disembark this barge of the damned and seize their destiny before it is too late.  We still know right from wrong. Even though our founding fathers are blamed for “joining” our (evil) brothers we can accept that they made a mistake and be thankful that we are longer bound by that mistake thanks to Mr Biya withdrawing La Republique du Cameroun from what was merely a de facto union.

La Republique du Cameroun is a 1960 country which does not include Ambazonia within its borders and does not need to be consulted before we focus on shaping Ambazonia’s future.

It is an established legal point that Ambazonia’s Liberation and restoration only needed to be declared and it was declared.

Mr Biya is a Candidate! Pyromaniac promises his expertise in fires as an asset!

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Mr Biya has finally “confirmed” that he will run for an eighth term in La République du Cameroun come October twelfth 2025. He did not a actually come out to announce his candidature. It was issued on social media – a method which is guaranteed to have zero input from him – an consistent with his last term. He was invisible when he “won” the last term, not appearing in any rallies. Then, he spent the seven years playing hide and seek with “his” people. During that term his cronies were awarded many “evacuations” for expensive medical care abroad while many died in ill-equipped health units at home. It was even not to odd to hear of corpses being detained in morgues until hospital fees could be paid for their release. Patients likewise.

During the whole of his expiring term he has been oblivious to the fact that he authorized his militias to terrorize the “citizens” in the “Anglophone Regions” where a wide range of people have been killed nominally under his command. The victims include two toddlers killed in Buea and Bamenda on their way to kindergarten. The killers have never been shown to have faced any sanctions, nor has there been any alarm that he runs a system where his militias and not only armed while “controlling” school-run traffic, but authorized to fire live rounds into that traffic! In the wider “crisis” his victims include women, some pregnant, thereby combining the targets of his promise to focus blah blah blah. In his declaration of candidacy, he promises to put the youth and women at the center of all action in his eighth term! So many holes dug –

  1. The mothers of those two toddlers and many young people in Bamenda and Buea would beg to differ and say “No, thank you!” to such ironic promises from someone directly responsible for their distress. A case of a pyromaniac promising to fight a fire they set.
  2. Th youth, who cannot get any employment even if they could buy it, would be daft to buys the promise of action on their plight. Mr Biya could solve that problem by leaving and taking his kleptomaniac incompetent and tribalistic regime. The youth would get by in a fair system without any “action” from someone who will have his work cut to get out of his bed on his own steam, never mind the crop of incompetent kleptomaniacs he has the distinction of having grown. All the eighty-somethings hardly coping with their own physical needs, departing would leave the youth to make their own progress on their own efforts and merits without any kind action.
  3. What about claiming to be the “hope for peace”? Really!? The man who sent out militias to break limbs and maim? That sound more like a threat than a promise! If the people of La République du Cameroun have any hope they should read Mr Biya’s promises as confessions of failure and warnings to their future generations.
  4. He cares for his “dear beautiful country”, not! After forty years, he did not bother to build one hospital where would be happy to be treated in his beautiful country! Did not even build any for his dear young compatriots, for whom he cares so much… What about that ring road he is personally supervising in “North West Region”? He may finally complete, rather start it in his eighth term?

But is Mr Biya the only one to blame? No. He is not even able to appear in public to declare his candidacy and did not manage that while “he campaigned” in the last one in 2018! So who is to blame? Le gourvenants, as they like to call themselves. Also their clients in the “presidential opposition” and the other incompetent clients who got themselves tethered to the trough while they pretended to be the opposition. As they are proposing to continue the same failed system, somehow expecting that they will give their supporters “a turn” at the trough, it stands to reason that they are planning to send their own cronies for health abroad and let their own collect the bribes and intimidate. La République du Cameroun will not fare any better under their “turn”…

Ambazonia is not coming back. Ambazonians should prepare to return home to our own country when La République du Cameroun has to leave. We should be prepared to unlearn any idea of the incompetent kleptocracy as our country will need our honest and full effort to grow.

If citizens of La République du Cameroun need to read through Mr Biya’s confessions, the citizens of Ambazonia need to think beyond it. They do not concern us and we need to be wary of any so-called elites repeating them to us and asking us to give Mr Biya a chance for peace. He is the one responsible for those killings and village burnings and those displacements. But worst of all, or best of all we now know that we are not part of his country and we do not have to take any notice. They will leave soon enough and we need to concentrate on charting our way and setting up the institutions of our country without fear or favour but solely for our own social and economic benefits.

Invisible Man Calls “Election”, Ambazonia needs to be Ready for the Invisible hand

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

This week Mr Biya called elections in La République du Cameroun. Well, he “had” elections called on his behalf. In 2018, when they had the last “elections” he hardly campaigned and the validator opposition spent the “campaign” condemning ballot boxes in barracks.

This time around, Mr Biya is going for even less! Yes it seems, that too is possible in La République du Cameroun. Not only is he invisible, he has not entered the race, instead letting his lackeys stir up a “debate” within his RDPC about him being the natural, according to RDPC statutes, candidate, “being the party’s national chairman”. And speaking of statutes, the statutes which bestow the “natural candidate” privilege to Mr Biya, according to young challengers within RDPC, require that the RDPC should have had a congress years ago. They argue that the invisible Mr Biya and his entire coterie of “Polit Bureau” loons are illegal and cannot decide – anything legally for the RDPC, their mandates having lapsed! A poor judge in La République du Cameroun is busy figuring out how to get out of having to rule on the issue, or to couch the ruling in regime-friendly terms, one of the naive youths having referred the matter for judgment.

So there is no declared undisputed RDPC candidate yet for the elections that Mr Biya has not called, but had called for him!

For their part, the “opposition” are busy ignoring the unfair “electoral” system and hoping that it will turn out differently this time round! Talk of consensual reform has disappear – almost as if an invisible hand has reassured them! Ok! It should be an inaudible voice has whispered reassurances in their ear that it will assure their “turn” at the trough. As if to prove it, the “race” has opened up with the “resignations” of some “presidential opposition” parties from the La République du Cameroun “government”. Nobody is considering that they could just be muddying the water and waiting to form a “new” coalition with the RDPC’s dynastic successor when the time comes and if it is calm enough for the invisible hand.

What should Ambazonia do? The obvious answer, having declared our restoration, is “nothing”.

The more serious answers include considering the fallout of the looming crash in La République du Cameroun and reading the not-so invisible hand poised to “help” La République du Cameroun when the inevitable has to be confronted in the next quarter.

On the Ambazonia side, we need to remain independent and vigilant to safeguard lives and property. Safeguarding our dignity and independence will also gain a natural boost as we have to actively be independent in the time frame. We must prepare and be aware of what to do at that time. On the human level we must prepare to support an influx of our refugees fleeing back into our country, aware that they may be joined by fleeing citizens of La République du Cameroun. Ambazonian Independentist Leaders must urgently deliberate on this contingency and and devise plans for that eventuality.

The not-so-invisible hand is hovering having sent that chief paramilitary official to openly turn up in person to instruct their proxies in La République du Cameroun! It is their practice to install dynastic successors in their colonies and in the case of La République du Cameroun, they are in an ever decreasing circle and heading towards having to break cover. It will not be like Chad, Togo, Gabon … where the transitions seemed agreed in advance. While La République du Cameroun is overstretched trying to maintain an occupation Ambazonia, they may need to dangle one of the fifth columnists as a temporary compromise to “solve” many parts of the puzzle while they figure out the game. “Dangle” clearly does not mean the fearful meaning! It is the prospect of a naive “anglophone” being pushed forward to announce “their turn” and asking Ambazonians to rejoice and pause of reconsider their restoration. Not so far-fetched considering the circle is ever-decreasing. To any such potential dupe, Ambazonia News counsels caution and restraint in the face of such flattery as they must know they are only window dressing in a longer game by the colonialists. For the rest of us Ambazonians we must ask ourselves, were that to play out as a scenario, why La République du Cameroun needed to murder toddlers on their way to school, burn villages with women and children, round up many Ambazonian youths as suspected separatist and incarcerate so many Ambazonia leaders if their were ever considering an “anglophone turn”. Of course a “turn” has never been the demand and it would not provide the justice and fairness that was denied in so many active ways to leave only Ambazonian Restoration as the option.

If the invisible hand wants to help, it should negotiate with Ambazonia on behalf of their colony! When chaos comes that will be the only actual option in the absence of any pretend institution in La République du Cameroun. Sending their colonial governor into Ambazonia to promise a “solution” was near enough openly negotiating but it was with the wrong captive audience.

Mr. Biya’s Regime: A Decline into Disorder

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

In fewer than six months La République du Cameroun will have to hold “elections”. Things are falling apart as the centre can no longer hold.

It will be a chaotic event as Mr Biya is being “begged” to stand again as the “saviour”. That is not a surprise as there are no other contenders even within “his” RDPC ruling party. So how has it come to this, that at 92 and with failing health he is still being seriously even considered as a possible candidate?

Mr Biya has spent decades setting up and maintaining a tribalistic system where incompetence seems to be a requirement. Hence, the all the functionaries and “elites” of his party go out of their way to show how incompetent they are. They all state that they support the “natural” candidacy of Mr Biya, who is not well enough, and has not been well enough to run a bath. Mr Biya can be credited with insulating himself so well that non of the executive or rank and file of his RDPC dare point out the ever decreasing circle in which he finds himself. One brave member of the RDPC has pointed this out and remains at liberty, contrary to past form, where he would have been languishing in jail as soon as he dared…

From violating La République du Cameroun’s “laws” he has left himself outside the “statutes” of his own party which require him to have been “endorsed” in a congress. Of course that would have been a formality – so efficient is his insulation. The fact remains he is not healthy enough even to hold a congress in front of his captive audience! So how will he “run” La République du Cameroun when/if he wins the next “elections”? His “ministers” between filling their pockets and taking trips overseas for health care or to investigate “how embassies are using bilingualism” all insisting La République du Cameroun needs him to stand as the [violent and abusive] “father” of the nation.

While La République du Cameroun sleep walks towards chaos at the end of the year, their militias are still in Ambazonia committing with their usual impunity. For the last eight years they have gone from gleefully announcing the “neutralization of youths suspected of being separatist”, shooting toddlers on their way to kindergarten, murdering whole villages of pregnant women and children to, now maintaining a relative blackout on their continuing crimes.

There is slightly less intensity thanks to Ambazonian Restoration Forces’ self-defense efforts, which have come on leaps and bounds with experience.

As expected, other cracks are showing in Mr Biya’s regime and it is clearer and clearer that his time has passed. Mr Kamto returned from his rally in France [ yes France! why not?] and was only briefly obstructed before being allowed to go. This is contrary to previous practice when the regime broke limbs to dissuade. Mr Kamto even promised to “visit” the “Anglophone Regions” if elected president, as his first act to solve “the Anglophone Crisis”. Some might ask if the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle was so that we could benefit from a visit. The point is this would have been enough grounds to land Mr Kamto back in jail in the not-too-distant past, for “apologies for terrorism” or preaching “subversion”.

Earlier last week other oddities arose: Mr Bello Bouba Maigari, who has been a minister apparently since anyone can remember, and certainly since before the advent of Mr Biya, suddenly realized that the Biya regime has failed the people and is proposing to save La République du Cameroun – by running for the presidency himself. Better late than never! Thankfully he has not threatened to visit Ambazonia on being elected. Probably because he might be quite realistic about his chances.

Before Bello Bouba Maigari, Mr Issa Tchiroma did the unthinkable and said that he was leaving the coalition with thr RDPC “who had failed and harmed citizens in the forty-three years of Mr Biya”. To emphasize the point, he told his audience not to trust him, but instead consider him an enemy, if ever he came back to encourage them to vote for Mr Biya. It was akin to a famous Olympian saying “if you see me trying to row again, shoot me”. Just for the record, that Olympian came back, if memory does not fail, and won another medal. Thankfully everyone knew him enough not to take his word.

Should anyone take the word of Mr. Tchiroma. Afterall, he was the Communication Minister when La République du Cameroun propagandists thought it appropriate to make those “neutralization” announcements, making some of the “anti-anglophone” statements himself. Now, better late than never, he has even gone to the extent if stating that “anglophones”, as he mistakenly refers to Ambazonians, should have a voice to decide, including in a referendum! He even went out on a limb to rubbish the French proxy colonial “form of government”, namely a centralized dictatorship, of having failed and whose time had passed.

Chaos in coming to La République du Cameroun. Mr Tchiroma is still walking free! Mr Biya is not up to it!

Ambazonia News will verify and repost the Ambazonia Consultative Commission’s Crisis Plan in the coming days.

Ambazonian Leadership Pact: Rejecting La Republique’s National Day Charade

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The Consultative Commission has issued the Ambazonian Leadership Pact’s ban on this years edition of the La Republique du Cameroun charades on Ambazonian territory.

La Republique du Cameroun, the “former” French colony which “gained independence” on January the 1st 1960 has a habit of marking their national day on May the 20th in typically Camerounese behaviour, which ignores the day they purportedly gained independence and instead highlight’s the day they botched their assimilation attempt on the then West Cameroon.

For recall, West Cameroon was the equal-status state to East Cameroon in the Federal Republic of Cameroon which should have been created after the 1961 plebiscite, which saw British Southern Cameroons vote to “gain independence by joining La Republique du Cameroun”. As it happens, La Republique du Cameroun broke all her international engagements on the process.

First the Federation was not signed off so it never actually existed. Then, it was illegally “modified” in a “referendum” which could not have legally taken place, especially as it did not follow any modification of the “constitution” of the Federal Republic of Cameroon, which itself had not been passed by both of the equal-status federal states, and therefore …

As if these breaches of international law were not, enough, in 1984, La Republique du Cameroun decided to “improve national unity”, further by reverting to their name at independence. Fortunately for Southern Cameroons, then “West Cameroon” and, now, Ambazonia La Republique du Cameroun’s decision to revert to their 1960 name, by the provisions of the Africa Union’s Charter also shrank La Republique’s borders to their state in 1960, thereby releasing Southern Cameroons from any engagements flowing from the 1961 plebiscite and any “understandings” expected from same.

These ideas have been tested variously in court in Banjul and in Bamenda, in particular where the ruling in Ambazonia vs Cameroun, HCB 28/92 was issued in favour of Ambazonia. Elsewhere in Banjul, La Republique du Cameroun’s argument that “Southern Cameroons” was not a people was dismissed by the African Court, who accepted the grievances of the complainant Southern Cameroonians, urging La Republique du Cameroun to address the “legitimate” grievances.

La Republique du Cameroun’s perennial “solution” was to cultivate a class of “elites” from among the people of Ambazonian origin, whose role is to benefit from privileges under the patronage of La Republique du Cameroun’s ruling “elite” – ironically called “les gouvernants” in their common parlance! The Ambazonian-origin “elites” are somehow supposed to benefit from those privileges and patronage on behalf of the rest of the people!

Every year La Republique du Cameroun stages marches to prove the “unity” that they have spent so much time undermining. They will do it again this year and will try to persuade their citizen with tinned fish and bread, to come out and make-believe. As outlined in previous paragraphs, La Republique du Cameroun does not include Ambazonia and Ambazonians have asserted their independence, which they are protecting through self-defense in the face of continued intimidation and “illegal and forceful occupation” by La Republique du Cameroun militias and military. Any Ambazonian who succumbs to bread and fish inducements by either the “eiltes” or directly from La Republique du Cameroun functionaries, does so at their own risk and could be caught in the cross fire of Ambazonian self-defense forces as they resist the La Republique occupation forces.

Ambazonian citizens are urged to continue to show their independence and enjoy their dignity rather than be seen with fish and bread from their oppressors. In Ambazonia’s future all our citizens will be metaphorically taught to fish rather than given fish. Our children shall shine like the stars above and be able to go out into the wider world and fish on an equal footing to all other skilled peoples of the planet.

Justice Denied: The Flaws in AKA’s Military Trial

FeaturedAKA

The following is a a verbatim quote from the Lead Counsel to Abdul Karim Ali, who [AKA] was recently sentence to life by a military tribunal in La République du Cameroun, in absentia. Barrister Fru outlines some of the procedural short-comings:

The case against Abdul Karim Ali – AKA, like the thousand others against the APOCs, is procedurally and substantively flawed.

Procedurally AKA was abducted and kidnapped. He was not arrested pursuant to the procedures of the Criminal Procedure Code in cameroun. There was no arrest warrant or probable cause for his arrest. He was never caught flagrant delicto. He was held under inhumane conditions, in communicado, for several days – devoid of counsel and family.

AKA was charged under a terrorism law of 2014 that had been chastised by international jurists, including the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, as overbroad and a dragnet against fundamental freedoms and liberties.

AKA was charged with secession with no proof of any document proving:
1) that there is a union treaty/agreement/contract or document between the Trust Territory of British Southern Caneroons and La République du Cameroun; and
2) that AKA signed or was an accomplice in signing any document abrogating or violating the supposed Union Treaty or Agreement.

If anything AKA is being persecuted for his thoughts, political opinions, nationality and membership in a particular social group of citizens of the Former British Trust Territory of Southern Cameroons advocating for the sacrosanct right of self determination. Proof of this is ocular in the confrontations that arose during AKA’s numerous interrogations, almost exclusively without Counsel, in which AKA’s conversations with accredited Diplomats and Human Rights Advocates were targets – if these conversations were criminal as insinuated, how come these named Diplomats were not subpoenaed for direct testimony and open to cross examination, at AKA’s in absentia trial?

AKA was tried and condemned in absentia, as a civilian, in a military tribunal against all international instruments forbidding the trial of regular civilians in military tribunals.

AKA, in a letter to the President of the Military Tribunal, in Yaoundé, dated May 24, 2024, refused to surrender himself to the military tribunal, as a subset of the jurisdiction of La République du Cameroun, over his Southern Caneroons nationality and citizenship. His legal thrust argument is that since there is no Union Treaty or Agreement between La République du Cameroun and Southern Caneroons and since the physical boundaries of La République du Cameroun were Frozen at midnight on December 31, 1959, pursuant to the Addis Declaration of 1964 establishing the boundaries of African States, La République du Cameroun’s presence in Southern Caneroons is annexationist and illegal.

Pursuant even to the nationality laws of La République du Cameroun, once AKA raised the issue of his nationality, the military tribunal was supposed, even by its own motion, to decline jurisdiction, and refer the matter to the locality of AKA’s claimed birth place. This was was not done.

This is a miscarriage and travesty of justice. As his Counsel, we must decry it in the loudest terms.

We have appealed the decision and it is our hope that AKA’s legal foundations will set the grounds not only to redress this manifest injustice but open the door to the necessary political actions that need to occur for a just and sustainable resolution to the war that is at the basis of AKA’s prosecution and persecution.

Lead Counsel for AKA and APOC.

Understanding the Ambazonian Independence Pact of 2025

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The Leaders Summit

It is no longer news that Ambazonian Leaders have met and signed the Indepdence Pact of Easter 2025.

In this post, Ambazonia News attempts to fill in the gaps and answer some questions.

As usual, we welcome more insights from more informed sources.

Origins

The Consultative Commission is the old Coordination Team which come to life immediately in the mele of initiatives for conferences post the [predictable] collapse of the Canadian Pre-Talks. The collapse was when La République du Cameroun publicly berated Global Affairs Canada, in effect calling, its boss and Canada’s foreign Minister equivalent … names. La République du Cameroun’s actions were entirely predictable because they have no negotiating position, even if they had “anyone at home” and, secondly, because one of their strategies is to out-wait the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle. The have done this through many schemes designed mainly to time-waste, playing for time in the hope that the momentum of the Ambazonian Liberation would diminish. That is why their response to Melanie Joly, for she was the GAC boss who first disclosed holding of the Pre-talks was utterly predictable.

Before that they had ridiculed the Swiss Process, of infamous memory, similarly, including through Justice Minister Momo’s ludicrous attempt to paint the diplomatic bungling as the clever work of Mr Biya to thwart the international community’s pressure to resolve the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle. That particular bungle, if anything, served to show that the international community was not only interested, contrary to popular perception, but involved in attempts to solve it. It is for another post to address the appropriateness and suitability of the involvement.

Other delaying tactics include the GDN, and its baby, Special Status. GDN was neither a dialogue nor great, being more of a monologue of hand-picked RDPC stooges who, just to be certain, were not allowed to use the word “federation”, which in turn, by then, was no longer a popular concept among Ambazonian Circles!

Maybe the last overt delaying tactic was the infamous reconstruction plan which turned out to be, like most La République du Cameroun projects, another embezzlement machine.

The Coordination Team, therefore was the Ambazonian response designed to consult Ambazonians, establish their preferences and aspirations in order to inform how the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle should be steered thereafter.

The report of the consultation is published and available to download from this link.

The Pact

  1. It is the outcome of the consultations that our Coordination Team carried out with our people, after several abortive attempts to move towards a negotiated settlement, which have resoundingly come out in favour of external self-determination – Independence.
  2. The Agreement shows the maturity in the Liberation Struggle after reflecting on many natural learning points and the appeals from the people
  3. It is a pact to collaborate to act in a more coherent and cohesive manner to expedite Ambazonian Independence and Freedom. By collaborating, Ambazonian Leaders will demonstrate to the citizens, La République du Cameroun and the international community that they are committed and intent on staying the course and taking the Liberation Struggle over the victory line. The necessary impulses will be applied to nudge LRC towards the realization that Ambazonian minds are made up, resolve solid and their faith strong and driving them to Freedom.

How it came about

After eight years of improvising the best they could in a struggle for which they were not prepared, which they couldn’t even claim to have been ill-prepared for, it was, still is, natural that they would stumble. They now understand that they have to get up each time they stumble and respond to the cries of our people to stand up collectively to the oppression and end the [illegal] occupation. They must hold their nerve and be mindful that La République du Cameroun’s ways of dealing with the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle include propaganda, some of which tries the deception that they are failing. Instead experience teaches us that Ambazonia is winning as even the La République du Cameroun’s worst excesses of terror and intimidation have come and done: village burnings, massacres, Moja…, “elites” have all proved failures and instead served to demonstrate how incompatible La Republique du Cameroun is to Ambazonia.

While [then] Southern Cameroons had a multitude of democratically elected Prime Minsters and peaceful transitions in less that ten years, La Republque du Cameroun is stuck on two President’s , non of whom have ever been democratically elected, for over six decades!

While Southern Cameroons ran an efficient public service providing utilities and maintaining infrastructure for social progress, La Republique du Cameroons, after six decades continues to regress and shows no embarrassment, rather pride, in being so backwards that they have to evacuate their ailing “leadership” overseas for simple health care.

Why it came about.

It is necessary for our people to access the same opportunities that all other people do. We need to end the skewed and corrupt system which has reduced our people to abject poverty as second class citizens in a chronically corrupt and incompetent regime where they literally have zero opportunities for social growth.

Our Ambazonian children are very talented and we owe it to them and humanity to harness those skills and talent for humanity’s collective future on an equal footing.

Ambazonia must emerge from the dark shadow of La République du Cameroun and realise her destiny of a bright and prosperous future in the community of nations.

We will work diligently and with conviction, knowing that we are linking arms to regain and possess our country. We will keep improving our ways and getting straight back up every time if we stumble. We are maturing into a nation relying on the resilience which has seen us to this stage even in the face of a clear perceived imbalance of power

Leaders’ Pact Boosts Ambazonian Independence Efforts

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The Consultative Commission has issue a press release to the publish a Leaders’ Pact signed in this Easter 2025.

The carries five points of emphasis but the key aspect is the evident convergence of minds and the collective will to progress the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle over the victory line. They will work closely to optimize the impact and to empower Ambazonian citizens to actualize their freedom and independence.

To this effect, the leaders are reported to have considered many separate and/or concurrent ways and means to expedite the advent of a free and independent Ambazonia.

The Heat Factor: Compelling La République du Cameroun to Negotiate

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

For a time now the chorus of “the suffering of our people” has accompanied schemes and processes to get La République du Cameroun to the negotiating table “to stop the suffering of our people”.

The idea of getting La République du Cameroun to the table has been in the air since the Swiss Process and was present in the Canada Pre-talks which followed.

The positive of these micro overtures is that La République du Cameroun can be assumed to have recognised the need for a negotiation, though it has to be underlined that their idea of negotiation will not be the same as the Ambazonians’.

The ways of getting La République du Cameroun to the table start with the obvious proven one -namely “unbearable heat on the ground”. This proven as it was responsible for “enticing” La République du Cameroun to venture onto the Swiss and then The Canada Pre-talks. Even then, it has to be factored in that La République du Cameroun could use such encounters to play for time and wait for Ambazonian coalitions to fracture as Ambazonian still sadly has many gullible “leaders”.

The gullible leaders, though talking independence and probably meaning it display the naivety to have “bringing La République du Cameroun to the table” as an end it itself. They do not consider what will keep La République du Cameroun on the table and compel them to yield to the idea of Ambazonian Independence. La République du Cameroun This was PRAP’s ingenuity. To be fair to PRAP, they then figured that such a low bar was far removed from any idea of immediate independence so they honestly postulated the idea of stages, including a referendum in the future to determine that. While this might very well attract La République du Cameroun, it would empower anglophone unionists and give La République du Cameroun the leeway to buy self-interests and pervert any future referendum, assuming the process got there. The immediate danger is, in reality have to complete the “lure” by playing “dead”… and playing dead could engender actual death of the Liberation Struggle. It would tell the day-to-day victims that the leaders are trading in their condition and willing to callously risk their lives and livelihoods on trusting a La République du Cameroun which has definitively proved their untrustworthiness.

On the Ambazonian spectrum there is a more ludicrous group even than PRAP. They are the independentists who also use the “lure La République du Cameroun to the negotiating table” mantra but do not either think about the aftermath or talk about it. Worse, they too wish to rely on diplomatic overtures with only a very flimsy tenuous reliance on “heat on the ground”. They would be less successful than PRAP in luring La République du Cameroun as they would, being independentists, have to use the words “Ambazonia” and “Independence” – the ultimate repellent to La République du Cameroun! Hopefully times helps them to realise -unless they do already realise but have undisclosed intentions.

The simple clear and surest way is the “heat on the ground” which has the effect of communicating to all key stakeholders. If properly targetted and applied along the “Daring Move” parameters, heat will quickly compel not only La République du Cameroun but any of their backers with interests on Ambazonian soil.

They would also enthuse the Ambazonian citizens who have to live the daily oppression of La République du Cameroun’s occupation forces and show them that the leadership gets it and is on the right page to take the Liberation Struggle over the victory line.

Whichever method is used to bring La République du Cameroun to the table, it is crucial to have it figured out how to keep them there and get the desired result from the negotiation. Knowing that La République du Cameroun will employ the simple time-wasting method and wait for Ambazonians to tire, it is critical to ensure that “heat” persists and that the practical independence reigns on the ground.

Complimentary commitment demands that diaspora make their own part of the commitment the only way they can, which is to contribute material and time to support and communicate commitment to the civilians on the ground. On the ground, the civilians and the ARF+ have to have a mutuality which makes them one. The ARF+ will actually go out to bat in self-defence but the civilians need to implement Ambazonian independence by by-passing La République du Cameroun officialdom at every opportunity, especially when it comes to the education system. Ambazonia News is consulting to bring more practical suggestions for by-passing the La République du Cameroun-controlled system still choking the social progress of Ambazonian children with their corrupt assimilation system.

The Ambazonian Liberation Struggle is fateful and watched over by the Watchman of our nation. On their side La République du Cameroun is doing everything to antagonise Ambazonians and convince them, as if they still needed convincing, that the two countries are incompatible. On the Ambazonian side the PRAPs of this world, whatever iteration, are thwarted by, first the “lack of anyone at home in La République du Cameroun”, and the sheer illogic of their schemes whether to Ambazonian eyes or to La République du Cameroun’s.

The miracle of SCA or another trojan horse.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

SCA is a new acronym, as if Ambazonians have not yet had their fill of acronyms.

SCA is the Southern Cameroons Alliance which, according to its MOU … yes another acronym, albeit an established one! brings a motley crew of misfits who should not even be able to come to an understanding with each other, never mind travelling thousands of miles to attempt to solve a problem they cannot even define in an agreed common way. If they could define it in an agreed way they would still be no nearer to being able to pretend to solve it as they would, then, have to achieve the feat of convincing La Republique du Cameroun to take them seriously.

Sorry to digress, but when faced with an intractable puzzle, what can one do?

SCA’s MOU claims to bring together various caucuses to continue to collaborate in the “fight for the historically justified self-governance of Southern Cameroons”. It is an eminently sensible move along the same lines as the Consultative Commission has followed – until the composition of the diverse caucuses is listed.

The MoU brings together the following caucuses:

• Pro-Independence Caucus – Advocating for full independence as the path to self-determination.

• Pro-Federalist Caucus – Advancing federalist solutions while upholding self-governance.

• Civil Society Caucus – Representing grassroots voices, prioritizing security, social

justice, and inclusive dialogue.

• Southern Cameroons Alliance (SCA) – Serving as the strategic coordinator and

facilitator for collaboration.

Any pro-independentists would already be within the Consultative Commission, whose common objective is “being independentists” and, therefore, proudly Ambazonian. Given that they cling to this as a key binding glue, it would be questionable how the independentists would join an alliance with not only federalists  but unionists as well. Fair enough the unionists are only on the logical subset that would not fit the “independentists” or “federalist” subsets, not having broken cover in their description on the press release.  Hopefully SCA will square this circle. If they are unionists, it will not be politic for them to basically trash La Republique du Cameroun’s GDN which, being “national”, was already by implication, “inclusive”! Also, how would they be able to look themselves in the mirror associating with “independentists” while trying to stay “loyal” to La Republique du Cameroun? Maybe they are not so much unionists as contortionists!

So like all bad designs, this bird-cage, designed by a form one child in her first design technology lesson has a few flaws, which militate against it working as a bird-cage or even a as collaboration platform.

Under normal circumstances, nobody would think to bring together these interests in a “common quest” as “nobody” would be able to muster an answer to “what is their common interest?”.

SCA must have a secret, which has managed to bring together these groups to sign the MOU. Of course it is noticeable that the independentist signature is not from any of the independentists leaders that Ambazonia News recognises, but Ambazonia News clearly is not all-knowing.

So logic says the SCA cannot survive a session in meetings as they would have exactly zero points of convergence, on which, to base a discussion. Ambazonia News concedes, on faith and nothing else, the miracle that they could hold their understanding. Now comes the question: “What does La République du Cameroun have to say?”

It is no secret what they[La République du Cameroun] would do with independentists – the original independentists leaders are in dungeons in Yaoundé. They [La République du Cameroun] also have a dislike of the mere violent word “federation”, so violent that they have been known to summon and intimidate even their own citizens for merely using the word.  So what is SCA going to do to get La Republique du Cameroun to budge? Is that a secret logic outside the norms of logic?

There has to be a secret, for if there weren’t Ambazonia News would have to speculate that SCA may be being optimistic in relying on the French (General’s) Ambassadors claims in Bamenda about an imminent “solution”. But the Ambassador said it was an internal solution so SCA will have its work cut out to keep the caucuses together and to entice La Republique du Cameroun to negotiate “internally” with a group that includes “federalists” and “independentists” even by name!

Logic is a bad thing!

As usual when SCA has gone Ambazonia will continue, watched over by the Watchman of Our Nation – The Most High God.

French “Trojan Horse” arrives in Bamenda, Report.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag
French Ambassador to LRC turns up in a thin disguise to fool the people of Bamenda

According to an unverified report, signed by Colbert Factor ” “The Anglophone Conflict Will be Resolved in the Months Ahead”, Thierry Marchand, French Ambassador to Cameroon “

It would appear the French are breaking cover in their colony as their Ambassador, General Thierry Marchand (Retd.) “has hinted that the eight-year-old Anglophone conflict, which has claimed thousands of lives and displaced many more in Cameroon’s two English-speaking regions, may soon come to an end.” While the LRC government has been asleep, it would appear the French have chosen to break cover and directly issue propaganda on behalf of their mentees.

The report claims that: ” During his second visit to Bamenda on Thursday, February 27, 2025, Ambassador Marchand stated that France, along with the entire European Union, is working diligently to implement a political solution to bring the conflict to a satisfactory conclusion. While he refrained from providing details on the strategies being put in place by Cameroon’s bilateral and multilateral partners, he emphasized that the conflict remains a Cameroonian issue requiring locally crafted solutions. “

It must be a diplomatic first for a “foreign” nation to implement a political project in a sovereign country which has not previously “hinted”, to borrow a word, at any such intentions or movements.

The report continues: “Ambassador Marchand’s statement offers a glimmer of hope for a region that has been plagued by violence and instability. The fact that France and the European Union are committed to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict is a positive step towards ending the crisis. However, the success of this endeavor depends on the willingness of all parties involved to work together towards a common goal.”

This comment must be directed at Gen (Ambassador) Marchand’s mentees, whose last diplomatic foray was to publicly humiliate the boss of Global Affairs Canada, the Canadian Minister of foreign affairs by disowning her announcement of outcome of Canadian facilitated “talks about talks”. In other sovereign nations, members of foreign diplomatic missions who reach out so far out of their mission would be on the next flight home before anyone could finish typing the words “violation of their status”, but the truth is Gen Marchand has a different status, since LRC – and other African “States” are actually French colonies in all bur name. Canada tries to maintain diplomatic niceties and gets burnt, the French break cover as colonial masters – what happens? Nothing yet…

According to the report, the Ambassador is also oblivious to the role of the French in creating and sustaining the conditions that generated the “crisis” as “The French Ambassador to Cameroon expressed optimism about France’s role in reconciling the people of the two English-speaking regions after the conflict ended. Speaking to the press at the end of his working visit to the Regional Office of the Franco-Alliance center at Bamenda’s Veterinary Junction, he highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the North West region as a potential avenue for reconciliation.” Yes, the French would seem to feel they are well placed to persuade their victims to reconcile! LRC is using the methods the French used to set up the proxies when they [French] carried out genocide against La République du Cameroun independentists. A few months after they issued a report to those very proxies about “the excesses” of their colonial repression their co-victims [of the French’s and their proxies], the UPC, the Ambassador is prancing around Bamenda in a local outfit.

As any “anglophone” will know, the French proxies in Yaoundé failed in so many infrastructure promises even when they promised to “personally supervise those projects” [think the elusive Ring Road] so the French are now so fed up with their proxies that they are taking over and “personally reconstructing” as the report continues: “The Ambassador emphasized the crucial role the Franco-Alliance center would play in rebuilding the region in the months ahead. He also dispelled common misconceptions about Franco-Alliance centers, noting that they are not solely dedicated to promoting the French language and culture. Instead, these centers exist in English-speaking countries across Africa and work to promote diverse cultures, reflecting France’s history of cultural diversity.”

And so Ambazonia News finally learns that the French are nice – they are not promoting their language and that they will solve the “crisis” in a few months, even though they have not bothered to let anybody know – and nor have their mentees in Yaounde. They are just nice. Eight years have passed, millions have been displaced, thousands killed, thousands of homes burnt, many children, including toddlers on their way to school, killed by their mentees. All that time they kept their counsel, but they were nice all along! Now they are breaking cover to help -and not promoting their language!

Finally the General upped sincerity to “hint” at the reasons for going out on a diplomatic limb: “Marchand regretted the impact of the ongoing conflict on French investment in the region … , which has been severely affected by the seven-year-long Anglophone crisis.” So that French miss their free hand at looting Ambazonian resources.

Another irony is that the French interfrence in Canada is now being quoted as case study for “solving” the “Anglophone Crisis”, as they like to refer to the Ambazonia Liberation Struggle, says the report: “France’s concern for minority welfare led them to advocate for greater autonomy for Quebec in Canada. Today, residents of the French-speaking region proudly identify as Quebec nationals within a united Canada. This sense of identity is acknowledged by the Canadian government, as evident in the Prime Minister’s recognition of Quebecers as Quebec nationals. ” French, which does not want to promote the French language, went to safeguard the rights of the people of Quebec including their right to French culture, coincidentally, including the French language. While Quebec enjoyed a distinct education system, among other autonomies, “the Anglophone Regions of Cameroun” found themselves facing French-speaking teachers in their chidrens’ classrooms and having to travel to Yaounde for the most mundane routines in life and the wiping of their identity when their identity was obliterated by renaming Cameroon to La République du Cameroun, the Country which Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia joined to form a Federation.

The Trojan horse was actually a misnomer as it was the Greeks who brought it, rather than the Trojans, who were the dupes.

The would-be dupes in this episode would be the Ambazonians, if they bring in the horse and beautify gifts from the Greeks, … sorry the French. But Ambazonians are not Trojans and the French are not as convincing as the ancient Greeks. They [Ambazonians] have seen enough of the French and know enough about the French and their mentees to fall for a smiling French man just because he decided to disguise himself and claim to be trying to promote their culture while asking them to sit tight in a dispensation which has been running a scheme to obviate that same culture! Even if Ambazonians were gullible there is no denying it

The Most High God is the Watch Man of our Nation.

PRAP deploys charm offensive with emphasis on offence!

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Probably on the back of compliments about his other videos PRAP chairman has made another video – with many contradictions and utterly counter-productive.

The Ambazomian Liberation Struggle is in the phase of “unity and collaboration” where nearly every forum is replete with calls for unity among the diaspora leaders of T Struggle. Several groups are rightly engaged in attempts to achieve levels of unity and collaboration.

Normally a leader seeking to build consensus and create a wide base of support would:

  • set out their plan and objectives in detail
  • present the plan and objectives to as wide an audience as possible
  • gather as much feedback as possible from the audience (and make it clear they appreciate and value the feedback)
  • answer (or try to) as many questions as possible (and make it clear that they appreciate the questions and feedback as nobody could, even if they tried, think of everything)
  • refine their plan on the basis of feedback, taking into account all the questions and attempting o address them constructively -if they are seeking to build a broad-based consensus.

Building a broad base and consensus is extremely important, if you are seeking to negotiate and wish to be seen as coming from a position of strength both by the nebulous International Community and the enemy, La République du Cameroun. This is exactly why Ambazonians in their wisdom are calling for collaboration and unity.

LRC has previously dismissed Ambazonia with “who would we talk to?” Hence the importance of building coalitions to not only project unity and strength but actually be unified and strong. This would work for Ambazonia even if La République du Cameroun fail to negotiate as it would lead to a better chance of victory even through actively expelling La République du Cameroun, and would certainly speed up the drive to get to the fabled Mutually Harmful Stalemate that would encourage the International Community to engage and intervene, to attempt a mediation.

Beyond the Liberation Struggle, it is also vital for nation-building, post-struggle, to have gained the experience of consensus building.

We at Ambazonia News hope that future interventions and videos will be in the vein of the afore-outlined scheme and for the afore-outlined reasons.

The video made by PRAP chairman on 4/12/24 was exactly the opposite of attempting to achieve unity and collaboration.

  1. It centres heavily on personal insults towards an Ambazonian leader for daring to inspect and question ICO. Rather than offer any explanations and ideas to expand the tent as a leader would do, the chairman embarked on a tirade of personal insults exactly like a leader who is proposing to build a broad coalition to negotiate would not.
  2. The chairman claimed there were 14 entities in APJ – fact which must be accepted as it is his word. It does raise the question whether all 14 groups approved the chairman’s video message. Ambazonia News would not, purely on the basis of probability, imagine that a consultation of the fourteen would clear the insults and counter-productive approach especially if they hope to convince others to join the process. Ambazonia News cannot assume that the video went out without being cleared, or at least previewed by the fourteen, so it would be reasonable to imagine that the fourteen are not actually equal partners who would offer transparent views to help the APJ’s objectives.
  3. PRAP’s strategy seems to centre around “doing all they can” to “entice” LRC to the table – so much that they are calling on ARF to “give peace a chance” even before the remotest possibility that La République du Cameroun would agree to negotiate – anything. Ambazonia is in this position because LRC started a war against us for making much softer “requests”. Ambazonia News is of the view that PRAP’s approach is naive as it proposes to lay down arms even before La République du Cameroun considers their peace plan, and then to rely on the good judgement of the people who calculated that they had nothing to fix at the first mild protests and requests. They then went further to unleash militias, with a seemingly free hand in the atrocities they could commit in Ambazonia, all while claiming they were there to “protect lives and property”. Those are the people whose good judgement PRAP is relying on, after laying down arms, to grant devolution, which PRAP thinks is more “valuable” than decentralisation [or at least more likely to succeed in placating Ambazonians]. PRAP then expects [hopes, that is, for LRC have so far not heard of PRAP] that La République du Cameroun will be so impressed with downed arms, that they will agree to a referendum in five [5] years time in 2030. Two sticking points: La République du Cameroun is unlikely to agree to any of that and there are no levers the nebulous ICO proposes to pull to compel La République du Cameroun; and secondly PRAP has its work cut out to convince ARF who experience and know La République du Cameroun’s methods only too well to lay down arms on faith – or the offensive charm of PRAP, judging by the chairman’s ability not only to offend, but to post the offence to the whole planet Earth! Talk about NAIVE!

This is painful to write as no logical thought could have gone into creating the video, and certainly not into posting it, especially from a group lead by the chairman who boasts about setting up the units. What has changed so that he [or PRAP] thinks it will work to drop arms and appeal to La République du Cameroun to grant “devolution” and a referendum in five years? What is the secret? Judging by the last video the fourteen [members of APJ] may sanction another batch of personal insults but we hope instead that they will address the questions and try to persuade rather than intimidate.

The contradiction is that while PRAP are going all out to attract La République du Cameroun, they are unwilling to do the minimum to broaden their tent on the Ambazonian side!

Ambazonia will survive as she has all these years under the Watch of the Watchman of our Nation.

Mr Biya Does it again – Or rather doesn’t again!

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

On the 5th of November 2024 there was a landslide in Dschang in La Republique du Cameroun’s border province known as La Region de L’Ouest, for being the western-most province of that country bordering onto Ambazonia in the North.

Ambazonia News extends the prayers of neighbouring Ambazonia to the victims, many of whom have, for generations freely come and gone into Ambazonia, intermingling with Ambazonians.

Five days after the disaster, La Republique du Cameroun’s “Prime Minister, Head of Government” posted on X to blame nature and offer prayers and condolences to the victims. He referred to the voice of Mr Biya, whose own social media post is still to come. Mr Biya clearly think his other clever invention – the “presidential silence” is appropriate for this massive loss of life.

There has been no visit by any La Republique du Cameroun minister to assess the situation, probably because there was a similar landslide in the same area in 2021, killing more than 50.

As “Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun”, Ambazonia News is not questioning what was done to mitigate future occurrences if/when the 2021 episode was assessed.

Even for LRC, it is striking that the “government” has been so mute – even to the lack of the usual communique which would credit Mr Biya with releasing many billion of XFA to console the victims.

While there was nobody at home for the disaster, the government was busy projecting a documentary of Mr Biya’s achievements in his 42 years in office and organising celebrations and orations to mark ascension to the the Presidency. Don’t blame Ambazonia News! That is the language they use in their circles.

There is no shortage of ministers in La Republique du Cameroun but it seems they were all too busy – even JDDM who is meant to be from the neighbourhood of the disaster!

There is a possible explanation. The RDPC, Mr Biya’s “governing” party may well have been pre-occupied with celebrations on the 6th of November, but at least one of them could have commented or shown an interest. None of them did maybe for the callous reason that they did not want to be seen to be taking the lead. Yes that is a bad thing as Mr Biya is ailing and has a habit of culling the tall poppies. It wouldn’t do to project one’s self in the fevered atmosphere of Mr Biya’s imminent departure. So nobody did!

So they celebrate the 42 years of someone who succeeded a much younger person in office – the much younger person having decided to step down when they were a much better “leader” than Mr Biya subsequently proved to be!

The RDPC tabloid “Cameroun Tribune” ran an earnest editorial repeating Mr Biya’s 42 year old “mantra” of New Deal, plagiarized from the US of course, but claimed and celebrated as Mr Biya’s idea. No irony that under the new deal the regime not only could not carry out his other slogan of “Rigour and Moralization”, which were meant to fight nepotism, tribalism, corruption…

It is not an exaggeration to say that Mr Biya institutionalized those vices in his 42 years – to the extent that his regime is now in grid-lock too ashamed to repeat itself when “nature” provides the ill-timed [more like timely] evidence, if it were needed, that “Rigour and Moralisation” have become “Laissez-faire and Immorality” much like the descent of Rome into anarchy on the eve of the fall of the Roman empire. Speaking of Rome, this, if there were any doubts, is the nth crossing of the Rubicon! Even the normally fearful Camerounese are voicing discontent about the silence and disdain regarding this latest Dschang Disaster.

it is time for Mr Biya to formally bow out. It is no secret that he has not been “in” for at least a decade!

As Ambazonia News has postulated in the past, there is no one at home in La Republique du Cameroun!

Ambazonia needs to go ahead with running our country. It was never a protest or plea to gain special status of devolution or federation or any other supplicant status in a country which is so inept and unable to manage its own affairs.

Ambazonia Consultative Commission’s Crisis Plan – Still pending but…

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

In a previous post we promised to post the CC’s Crisis plan for Ambazonia [ and La République Citizens] in the [imminent] event a downward spiral in La République du Cameroun.

Since that post, there have been more pointers from La République du Cameroun.

There are now at least two videos of deliberately recorded footage by La République du Cameroun’s “Secret Services” torturing people who are in no way political threats to Mr Biya; and posted on social media. This could be some inept attempt to instil fear in the populace but, if so, it only shows that the regime has nothing to lose. If that is not the aim, it would indicate, rather further confirm the regime’s increasing loss of control over its machinery.

In Mr Biya’s home region, there was open talk of a “federal state” in the Region du Sud where protesters complained about the shenanigans of Mr Biya’s close circle. In a state built on tribalistic actions this can only be an alarming indicator of the descent to chaos that the CC’s feared as they set about drawing up the Crisis Plan.

There is also anecdotal evidence that Mr Biya’s chefs de terre are profiling citizens in their areas since one of them has reportedly requested locals to report any “strangers”. “Allogenes” is actually a term in the lexicon of the so-called “les gouvernants” of La République du Cameroun. This is the word used to distinguish people “not from this tribal area”, used by the same people whose rhetoric includes phrases like “any Camerounian should be at home anywhere in Cameroun”.

Since the start of the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle the vast majority of people who would be quickly tagged as allogenes would be the so-called internally displaced – the people who have escaped the violence in Ambazonia and sought temporary “refuge” in La République du Cameroun.

Ambazonia News hopes the plan never gains any use and that the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle comes to be resolved through negotiation, but our aim is that, should the needs arise, all those caught up in any crisis would have had some forethought and would act in a more measured, considered and inherently safer way to mitigate any risks to their physical safety.

Read the very rough draft here – we will endeavour to post any further refinements of the plan.

Longue Longue and Sir Elton John’s different experiences : two-tier CW

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

The legacy of slavery is vastly underestimated. Almost every behaviour of populations around the planet owes some psychological of engrained idea from the centuries of slavery and colonialism.

Some campaigners think that there should reparations from the beneficiaries to the  victims. While there is no denying there are victims, for most of the population of the world are victims even today, it is still a big call to decide who should “accept” any reparations, never mind what would constitute reparations.

In the world where capitalism has won it would be relatively simplistic, actually just plain simplistic, to attempt to place a value on what adequate reparations should be.

Having said, the foregoing, it is worth noting that reparations were agreed way back when slavery was “abolished”.  Relatively recently the British Government finished paying “reparations” to the descendants and estates of former slave owners, perversely using tax money which included victims’ descendants’ contributions! The argument about the appropriateness of reparations is spurious and the British establishment is somehow hoping to get by on their “authority and integrity” or the elusive “British sense of fair play”.

This writer is of the opinion that the value of “reparations” for the evil of slavery is infinite for the enduring effects it has had and continues to have. That the final “reparations” paid to slave owners and their descendants were so recent that the source of those payments included taxes from [descendants of] victims of  slavery says something about the offenders’ values than the victims. Tragically, they were able to determine financial values for the lives of the people those paragons of British Imperial society held as property.  For the victims it is impossible to place a value on the reparations that must be paid, or decide where the reparations show be spent. The worst aspect of it is the idea that reparations could be  the end of the story, so maybe it is better to keep learning lessons, but while learning those lessons, the West needs to stop operating proxy colonies to continue to practice latent slavery.

Today the trade which allowed human beings to uproot other human beings from the homes and transport them to “lives” as property and being valued less that beasts of burden persist on a daily basis as psychologically broken populations of the world take perilous journeys on their own effort, attempting to gain self-imposed status as slaves in the lands of the people who first built their economies and empires literally from the blood and toil of their [today’s self-transporting slaves] forebears.

They borrow all they can to fund the perverse new trade where todays slavers trade in boats and the ultimate culprits somehow “don’t” know how to defeat the traders.

Reality is that the boats and commerce can be traced very easily and halted if anyone really wanted to halt it, but today’s declining empires, despite their protestations still need the free labour that immigrants bring. It is more and more obvious that the declaration of human rights so often cited is only for the humans it was for when it was first made with many slaves still in captivity.

The King said “lessons should be learnt”, speaking at a gathering of Commonwealth Heads of Government.  The lessons we learn from the Commonwealth do include the obvious one that “good governance and human rights” are only for the white parts of the club.  The established pattern is that human rights abuses and corruption are tolerated in many “less white” Commonwealth member countries. This reinforces the idea that those privileges are only for the people the human rights declarations were meant to benefit, for during those declarations and  afterwards and onto today, the black populations can be spared to be tortured or abused and the Commonwealth declares those abuses tolerable and measures “progress” towards democracy.

In La République du Cameroun one of the best artists was recently humiliated when the secret service published footage of him being tortured in the same week when the nominal head of government of La République du Cameroun, Joseph Dion Ngute is attending the CHOGM. As LRC is a black country, that does not matter much.  So in Britain, Elton John got a knighthood and became Sir Elton John as he should, but in the darker end of the Commonwealth in 2024 his counterparts and frightened for their lives. Longue Longue is that victim.

Nor is the obvious link between such poor governance and the migrant boats so obscure. It is only common sense that better just societies around the world would drastically cut the numbers of people who fee compelled to travel thousands of miles in search of better economic opportunities even when they are elusive in reality. Instead, the King is literally patronising crooks and tyrants while asking for lessons to be learnt, by who we cannot tell.

It has been eight years now since La Republique du Cameroun has been actively killing youths in Southern Cameroons who are suspected of being separatists. Resident slaves from that territory many of who would dearly like to vacate Britain and reduce the migrant crisis, have been to the Commonwealth Secretariat to count on the club’s “values and objectives” and met with no support.

Meanwhile the head of the club has been to pose with dictator Paul Biya and receive gifts. When leaving afterwards, they applaud he progress that La Republic du Cameroun is making towards democracy! A veritable slap in the face for all those people who used to be subjects of the Queen in  British Southern Cameroons.

What lessons should they learn?

The club is expanding. The neighbouring dictatorship to La Republique du Cameroon, despite being a French colony, with no colonial link to Britain, is progressing, no pun intended, towards membership of the Commonwealth. Their citizens could be forgiven, if on reading the CW charter, their imagined their lives were about to improve.

Lessons should be learnt!

The King is right about lessons and not attempting reparations. In the current world system any reparations would go in a few pockets and end up in back in European banks.

The lesson to lean is to improve the governance in the south so that more of them stay at home. But where would that leave the NHS and other western health systems? Slavery has  not gone yet! It is not time to talk reparations even if an appropriate magnitude could be ventured.

Italy warns against doing business in La République du Cameroun

Cameroun’s Confabulations On Normalcy in Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia Get BUSTED and SANCTIONED By The Italian Government : 25% OF CAMEROUN’S ANNUAL GDP AT RISK

Italy is finally discovering Cameroun’s long-lasting deceit on political, economic, and social normalcy in Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia amidst the ongoing 7 year Cameroun-Ambazonia War declared by the octogenarian dictator Paul Biya of Cameroun.

On October 22nd, 2024, in a press conference at Palazzo Chigi in Rome, the Italian Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Matteo Piantedosi officially declared Cameroun as an INSECURE nation, in line with the Italian legislative decree approved by the council of ministers, on “urgent provisions on procedures for the recognition of international protection” of the political, economic and social integrity of Italian citizens and businesses.

Such outstanding political statements are fruits of persistent silent diplomacy and are aimed at alerting the Italian government, Italian multinationals, Italian citizens and governments of other sovereign nations on the potential risk of life and the current high risk of investments in Cameroun. This Italian government move is an indirect economic sanction that will jeopardize the political, economic and social credibility of the Cameroun genocidal regime at the international level, with regards to her confabulations on the subsistence of political, economic and social stability, as well as further cripple Cameroun’s economy as no Italian citizen or multinational will willingly engage in tourism or trade deals or invest in an insecure country.

It is worth noting that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which accounts for around 15% of Cameroun’s GDP, has experienced a 16.6% decrease since 2020. Also, most of the FDI to Cameroun comes from China (70%) and 30% from the European Union, particularly France, Germany and UK, and targets the mining industry, including oil extraction. A reduction of FDI from Italy and other nations will for sure shatter the Cameroun government’s attempts to deny the current devastating political, economic, and social instability that is secondary to the 7 year Cameroun-Ambazonia war.

Also, between 2019 and 2022, tourism accounted for almost 10% of Cameroun’s annual GDP, with about 30% of inbound arrivals from 5 nations (France 11%, Belgium 6.5%, UK 5.5%, USA 4.5% and Germany 2.5%) and 70% from the rest of the world.

By implication therefore, any foreign government position that directly or indirectly discourages tourism (10% of Cameroon’s GDP) and investment (15% of Cameroon’s GDP) in Cameroon, like the official announcement of the removal of Cameroun from the list of safe countries by the Italian government, will put at risk 25% of Cameroun’s annual GDP.

Italy is not the first to break cover on the true level of trust-worthiness of La République du Cameroun. The US issued protected status to refugees from Cameroun and Canada, even if they have not formally broken cover, were (im)famously in a diplomatic spat over the pre-talks spat when La République du Cameroun’s “les governants” royally stepped in it by rubbishing non-other than Canada’s head of diplomacy, the Minister in charge of Global Affairs Canada. For memory, Monsieur Rene Sadi issued a communique accusing her of making up the pre-talks episode. The warning from Italy will obviously resound even outside Italian business circles and will undoubtedly exacerbate La République du Cameroun’s woes at a time when they need sardine money to rig 2025.

To add to the Italian warning, Ambazonian Independentists are studying the spate of sales illegal of lands from the CDC estate by Okalia Bilai’s cronies. Any such “investors” should know that no La République du Cameroun functionary has any authority to sell any land in Ambazonia, and should take their business risks with the full knowledge that The Federal Republic of Ambazonia will be consolidating all Ambazonian resources.

The Interim Government of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia appreciates the efforts of the Italian government in this tactical indirect sanctioning and the efforts of international humanitarian organizations like Human Rights Watch (HRW) in reporting Cameroun’s crimes against humanity. In line with the DARING MOVE prescription for priority execution of impactful and significant destruction on the economy of invading Cameroun in the prosecution of the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle, The Interim Government solemnly calls on the Ambazonian diaspora not to relent in their advocacy, support to our ARF+ and diplomatic efforts in their respective resident countries, geared towards exposing the gruesome crimes against humanity perpetrated by the invading Cameroun military on vulnerable Ambazonian civilians.

Ambazonia will undoubtedly triumph as an Independent and Sovereign Nation as barbaric La République du Cameroun bleeds tears over an Amba-induced crumbling economy.

Constitutional Vacancy in La République du Cameroun.

Featured

Today Friday 18th October 2024 is day 46 of Mr Biya’s absence from his office in Yaounde.

As he is “not” ill, he has no reasons, not to say excuses, for being away from his “constitutional workplace” for this long without justification. Mr Biya is deemed to have resigned his post by abandoning it…

“In the event of a temporary impediment, the President of the Republic shall instruct the Prime Minister or, if the Prime Minister is unable to attend, another member of the Government, to carry out some of his functions, in the case of an express delegation.”

He is not ill as per the 8th October Communique from his Chief of Staff, just to be clear so the 45 day limit is applicable – at least to be considered as unreasonable for anyone to be absent from their workplace without justification.

While the same communique may have claimed he was doing his job, article 8(1) defines his work place as the presidency in Yaounde, primarily, or other justifiable locations within La République du Cameroun. He certainly could not do his routine job overseas. Non-routine parts of his job would be diplomatic aspects – and nothing like being cloistered in secret in a Swiss hotel.

Certain minsters have been quick to say that there is no actual time limit at which the vacancy would be triggered but Mr Biya’s habits would have lead him to try to make it back within the disputed limit. That eh did not suggests bigger considerations than any argument about the time limits not being defined.

What should happen now?

The Constitutional Council should notice, having been  been made to notice the vacancy [called resignation, if he has abandoned his place of work and his job] by the Speaker of the Lower House, and they should act to address it as by passing the torch to his constitutional heir…

That constitutional heir would be the speaker of the senate Niat Njifenji, who, sadly is in no state to step in as he is off for treatment in Europe. His vice-speaker should step in …

Quickly, it is clear that there are just too many improvisations to be called into play if the CC were to do its job. It is exactly the sort situations where the French have been known to step in to “help” and everyone can guess their “advice”.

As it happens, if the vacancy is not noticed, Barrister Tamfu has petitioned the Speaker of the Assembly to ensure he notices the vacancy and seizes the Constitutional Council.

All of the foregoing has built-in loop holes. For one thing, all the players in the chain are appointees of Mr Biya and are very unlikely to play their parts to discard him.  The speaker will wait as long as possible, giving the Constitutional Council all that time to wait, before they wait again as they “deliberate”. The upshot, Ambazonia News surmises is that this law, even in spirit, is only for the poor, like most La République du Cameroun laws.

Mr Biya’s fall will, in the end, not come directly from the law. Had he been in any position to circumvent it he would have tried to get back just in time to avoid the criticism – at least avoid his lackeys having to defend his position in front of the international community.  That he has not does not bode well for his basic functional health, rendering the “debate” about 45 days and any semantice and technicalities completely moot given his is very unlikely to be able to evcen contin ue to issue “high instructions” having failed to show himself “capable”.  “His” [Mr Biya’s] dubious tenure has seen him burn bridges in the diplomatic arena, for instance with Switzerland and Canada most reccently, both of whom “he” duped into fools’ errands  over the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle. To recall, he lead these two partner nations down the garden path of playing at “negotiations” before publicly disowning their statements. In the case of Canada, it was Global Affairs Canada’s head, the Minster of Foreign Affairs for Canada,  who was disowned summarily contracdicted, having been misled to publicly announce dealings known as Pre-Talks between La Republique and Ambazonia. If La République du Cameroun had dispatched a functionary to slap her in the face that could not have been more offensive.

In Switzerland’s case, La Republique du Cameroun allowed a peripheral “opposition” minister delegate to issue an op-ed claiming Mr Biya was a genius for dribbling the international community away from sanctions. An admission of the genocidal crimes coupled with offending international partners – quite apart from the establishment of a reputation as unreliable.

These two are only the overt players in the scene and, as is the way of international partners, there will be others whose bridges were torched less publicly in the same, or related episodes.

Ambazonia News brings these examples to show that “dirty launders” of the vacancy could not have come at a worse time – the lowest ebb of “trust”.  The secondary losses will fall on France who will have to further break cover when the try to crown their preferred “dauphin”, if their shenanigans in other French colonies is to be engaged again. Their standing in region is already tenuous and with the capital they have deployed in supporting La République du Cameroun’s genocidal war against Ambazonia they will need to have a lot of credit to burn, or a colossal amount to gain, to risk the attempt of a coronation in La République du Cameroun. If they do not line up their ducks, they will come unstuck especially in a theatre already primed and ready for exploitation by any disgruntled frenemies.

As Ambazonia News conjectured on the eve of expiry of the 45-day “understanding”, it does not matter  much whether Mr Biya returns or not and there is hardly any credit to be had for dying in service, given that he has never been in service and would likely have died showing his disdain for the country he was claiming to serve – frequenting a foreign health facility for his own failure ro cause the creation of one within “his” country, which fellow citizens could benefit from as part of his legacy.   Instead, he would be shown to have chosen to lavish resources on himself and his cronies while leaving abject poverty, incompetence, ineptitude and anarchy as his legacy.

His name would be “mud” so the French would have their work cut out to sustain a dynastic transition.

It will be intriguing to see how it unfolds in the next few days and weeks and months.

Paul Biya: La Republique du Cameroun goes too far again!

As these words are committed Mr Biya is spending his 44th day outside of Yaounde and Cameroun. In order not to fall foul of his constitution, he needs to return by Thursday 17th October 2024. But that is still not the end of it nor should it be. To be clear Ambazonia News couldn’t be less concerned with the functioning of Cameroun in any aspects that do not concern Ambazonia. Their constitution clearly does not concern Ambazonia in whether it is respected or abused. Whatever mechanisms and technicalities are used to help Mr Biya “comply”, will do no more than kick the can beyond the end of the road. It would not be outlandish to see a blinded vehicle driven through Yaounde with the insistence that the contents are Mr Biya’s “resting a recuperating” personification of bravery and service for returning in time to avoid depriving La République du Cameroun of his service. Some idle people would them bite into the futile “debate” of a back-and-forth of whether it is actually him or whether he is alive…

The question for any thinking person would be whether it matters whether Mr Biya returns dead or alive. The answer would be “No”. He is in no state to run a bath, never mind any country. He has not been for a long time – which begs the question why is he hanging on? Is he covering while some forces manipulate in the background or is he actually convinced that he is serving La République du Cameroun, or even that he has ever served? The answers would be a guess as he is notoriously slot-like in avoiding any kind of effort. It is questionable whether he has ever read any paper or had any discussion or thought in the last at least twenty years. Many incredulous Camerounese like to make excuses for him, claiming that the corruption and ineptitude could not be visible to him or he would act against it! Ambazonia News would be of the editorial view that if he were alive and serving La République at any stage he would have noticed even by mistake. Clearly he has been seen alive all these years and that means he has not been serving – certainly cannot claim to have been serving. Instead, he lets others insist he is and that he is serving so well La République du Cameroun would be lost without him! They are strange people. If he has been alive and alert the only conclusion would be that he despises La République du Cameroun, proof being that he avoids any stays there, basing his itinerary on the need to avoid the 45 days out that would require him to have to justify the unjustifiable. That constitutional unjustifiable is actually minor for La République du Cameroun as they would go out of their way to find their own justification for such a great and irreplaceable servant, without whom they would be lost.

The more difficult justification would be the office-sitting he has done so many years when he clearly hates the country! What is the proof that he hates the country? He is about to die out the country getting “rest and recuperation” abroad because there is literally no health facility in La République du Cameroun, either for him to have that “rest and recuperation” or any of his, illogically, grateful acolytes to be treated for the most mundane ailment. That after so many years of “serving” La République du Cameroun. He hates it there and had remain as a block on the futures of youth of La République du Cameroun. Why?

Does La République need him back whether dead or live? Does it matter? In view of his actions and attitudes during his tenuous tenure it is arguable that the former state would be preferable and more beneficial to La République du Cameroun as the block would disappear and Camerounese would finally start looking forward and be forced to replace the irreplaceable. Some common sense and stability in La République du Cameroun and the advent of a leader could lead to a faster acceptance that Ambazonia and La République need to chart their separate paths. Anyone serving the country would not keep dispatching the poor citizens’ children to die trying to kill Ambazonians in a completely futile attempt to prolong and preserve an illegal and forceful occupation of Ambazonia.

He does not have to return. He can remain where he likes to be but the irrationally child-likely helpless Camerounese would have to stand on their own two feet.

So Mr Biya, you have nothing more to prove. Go [stay away] for pity’s sake! Camerounese have never offended or wronged you, have they? Let them fledge! Please!

The organisers have postponed the conference and may come back with some answers but the gap, Ambazonia News understands, was unbridgeable.

Ambazonia resilience: why Daring Move continues to thrive.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Since the launch of Daring move in September 2023 consistency has embedded into the fight to expel La République du Cameroun has become more widespread, committed, focused and targeted.

No longer are any fifth columnist fearlessly wandering round Ambazonia claiming to be “elites” and trying to convince our people that against fighting for their dignity and freedom.

La République to Cameroun has had to break cover and go against some of her proxies in desperation, for instance, scapegoating the hapless thug Moja Moja even though they must have known it would show all other such gullible people how much mileage there is in throwing in their lot with La République du Cameroun against Ambazonia.

They now know that they are in between. If the ARF+ do not get them under the “authorised targeting of La République du Cameroun allies and proxies” of the Daring Move, La République du Cameroun will do them in under their “leave no witnesses” modus operandi. Only a truly gullible soul could imagine that they are the exception to La République du Cameroun’s systematic campaign of assimilation-by-marginalisation.

An so Moja Moja only looked more pathetic attempting broken French. Broken French only shows up its authors as gullible anglophones.

The Daring Move: Ambazonian Liberation Struggle Charged

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Since 2/9/23 when IG President Marianta Njomia signalled the Daring Move Ambazonian decolonisation is getting more and more real as La République du Cameroun’s militias find themselves operating in ever decreasing circles.

Ambazonians are more aware of the significance of La République du Cameroun’s apparently loony activities, such as staging marches to mark “youth day” or “National day”. In trying to prove to the international community that “normalcy” reigns, La République has proved to the international community that they are as corrupt and unjust and brutal as ever and that the normalcy that Ambazonia said no to is no more bearable nor acceptable than when it was said no to!

They have also made Ambazonians more aware of their strength and position of power in the imperceptible and pointless fight to show the international community … whatever. The said international community is not really interested and will not come and impose any terms on either side of the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle. What La République has revealed to Ambazonians is that they [LRC] are in the legal wrong and need to prove that Ambazonians consent to the “forceful and illegal” occupation. In trying so hard they have proved the contrary. Even the international community would not expect of any people to consent to the occupiers who casually kill their children on their way to school, or boast of “neutralising youths suspected of being separatists”.

The Ambazonian citizens realise that it is their actions and comportment that will determine their fate. They need to return their lives to their normal, running their own affairs in the spheres of education, social progression and economic development with no regard for La République du Cameroun, even if La République du Cameroun tries to intimidate and dissuade such practical independence – in fact, especially if they try, for that is a way of “showing the international community” what we have chosen. The international community will have to accept the reality as they are gradually doing with Somaliland.

Now to the Daring Move! The Daring Move has ensured consistent nationwide daring moves to uproot La République du Cameroun assets and structures on our soil. Be they fifth columnists (black legs) or the poor-people’s children La République deploys to try to intimidate us, the message is clear. Daring Move is for the long haul and open-ended until all vestiges of La République are uprooted and gone from our soil. It is consistent and targeted as outlined in the initial PEO of 2nd September 2023. On a weekly basis since the signal went out, La République militias and fifth columnists know impunity has ceased and expect that it is only a matter of time before they stray into the ARF+’s cross-hairs. ARF+ know their targets and are improving as they gain experience and see the effects of their dares.

When the Dares join up with mass citizen choices the outcome will only amplify. It will not help La République du Cameroun that they have their coronation to try and engineer! The supreme irony of these coronations in these increasing isolated colonies is that the country orchestrating them brutally beheaded their own monarch 250 years ago! Anyway even the subjects of La République du Cameroun are not expected to stand for a coronation even if “les gouvernants” proxy colonialists could. In the last fortnight they have managed to entertain anyone who was bothered to look with a rumpus on the crucial subject of … hiring a football coach! Seriously nothing is too minor for La République du Cameroun to show herself up!

Before that they managed to demonstrate to all Ambazonian would-be fifth columnists blacklegs that there is no mileage in that choice. The best and most devoted of them will eventually end up in SED to taste the treatments they previously meted out to innocent Ambazonians just to prove their loyalty to La République “illusoire” du Cameroun! Step forward Moja Moja and thanks for being the metaphor!

Beware would-be fifth columnists! If you escape the ARF+ you will still have to look out for your pals from La République du Cameroun. Think they will leave witnesses behind?

To the sensible and ambitious Ambazonian civilian citizens join your community and start living your dream as a free equal and meritorious citizen. Your efforts and rewards will be yours in out country. Support the ARF+ to support you. Your children will progress according to their effort in education! You will progress according to your effort and investment in your community in our country.

The Most High God and our Ancestors continue to Watch out for us.

Ambazonia is free.

Ambazonian Collaboration: Building Bridges and Locking Arms for Liberation | Ambazonia News

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

As La République du Cameroun prepares to run the gauntlet of charades and hide-and-seek, trying to prove that they can “celebrate” 20th May in Ambazonia, so what?, Ambazonia should be celebrating the first signs of collaboration among the various Ambazonian Independentist Entities. The news was first broken by IG President Marianta when, in her address to the APP on 11/5/24, she revealed that she had contacted all the major leaders to a common position on the likely lockdown to counter the LRC charade. She said she had talk to most and received text replies from those she had not spoken to.

The upshot is that even if they issue separate lockdown declarations, they will have the same dates and durations. Ambazonia News believes this is worth celebrating if it avails as it would be the first fruit to accrue from the Building Bridges policy, marking the hopeful launch pad to further and more meaningful collaboration in other areas to lead to the practical reality of the liberation of Ambazonia.

The IG believes that Ambazonia’s Liberation can be actualised more quickly by presenting a reality on the ground. That reality would start with Ambazonian education from Community Schools to other higher education institutions run by the Ambazonian Communities and separate and independent from La République du Cameroun’s influence or interference. A critical mass in this sector would leave the international community with no choice but to accept that reality. It would convince our citizens that Ambazonia is theirs and secure the social progression that every Amazonian parent has always wanted for their children. It would be immeasurably empowering and lead to swift decolonization which would cascade into other sectors.

This can happen if the Ambazonian independentist Entities all undertake to pursue that goal in areas they control, locking arms to drive out all La République du Cameroun vestiges. Belief is needed. Trust and reliance on the common objectives and motives of fellow independentists would lock in our determination in our external self-determination once and for all.

So Ambazonia News is inviting all leaders to contact others to start brain-storming and thinking blue-sky thinking. Thinking is what will drive La République out and have us ready to face the challenge of building the nation we want.

The next opportunity to keep communication lines open will be the Ambazonian Collaboration Team’s Townhall on 18/5/24.

We have endured the worst of La République du Cameroun and it is time to leap.

The Most High God remains the Watchman of our Nation. Ambazonia is here.

Ambazonia’s Struggle: Unraveling Moja Moja’s Alleged Crimes

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Moja Moja, the thug whose eponym came to signify the essence of a black-leg or fifth columnists is reported to be “reaping what he sowed”. His real name is John Ewume and he is supposed to be the chief of the Bwasa village in Southern Ambazonia.

He has been “arrested and taken to Yaounde” and, irony of all ironies, could soon be communing with people he would have summarily executed on camera had he encountered them in Ambazonia.

Moja Moja attained notoriety through his elaborate rituals to please his handlers in La République du Cameroun, whose so-called “elite Rapid Intervention Brigade” he “represented”. While La République du Cameroun propagandists came to avoid open tribalistic comments in public, insisting instead on quoting their “anti-tribalism” laws, Moja Moja felt empowered, so empowered that he gathered evidence of himself committing genocidal acts while flying La République du Cameroun’s flag. For such illogical actions, it is remarkable that he took care not to be in his BIR uniform while making all that footage of his genocidal crimes, a fact which hardly absolves La République du Cameroun of the responsibility for his crimes.

Other fifth columnists were happy to associate with him, probably misguided by the “protection” he must have had to commit those crimes with impunity while posting the evidence on public media. The “elite” were happy to be filmed congratulating and lauding him.

Even the CHRDA of Agbor Nkongho published a dossier calling for an investigation by the government of La République du Cameroun.

In previous posts Ambazonia News has cautioned any Ambazonian born against putting their trust in La République du Cameroun for they would be directed to commit crimes and then discarded much like all criminals seek to rid themselves all witnesses to their crimes.

The lesson is that Ambazonians have no choice but to take up their nations cause for independence from the illegal occupiers of La République du Cameroun.

The Most High Remains the Watchman of our Nation.

Ambazonians beware! Kamto ignores HCB 28/92 in trojan horse post.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Renowned La République du Cameroun law academic and politician Maurice Kamto has wadded into the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle with a social media post in which he reheats the “wrong federalist” argument that “massive voter registration” in La République du Cameroun’s presidential election will “allow” Ambazonians, who he calls “anglophones”, to “exercise their self-determination by voting” in that “election”. In a previous post, Ambazonia News discussed the similarly blue-sky ideas of certain naïve federalists in suggesting that opinion polling could cause change “within” La République du Cameroun, which could facilitate the return of a federation by demonstrating the people’s preference.

On the face of it, Prof. Kamto’s post sounds “reasonable” and if we are wondering why it even needs to be made as an “offer”, then that is the paradox and where the offer damns itself, for it implies that “democracy” is a special offer in La République du Cameroun! To his credit, Prof Kamto, is ,therefore, acknowledging our [Ambazonian] experience of the lack of democracy in La République du Cameroun, where we do not even legally belong, and, therefore do not have to endure the abuses of what Prof. Kamto calls a “brutal, autocratic, kleptocratic” regime which has “mishandled the reunification”.

Prof. Kamto himself has spent the current “grand projects term” protesting a stolen vote in the last La République du Cameroun presidential election of 2018, so even if Ambazonians were gullible enough to fall for his “offer”, there would be no precedent to base any faith on, that their votes would “count”, or what would accrue if those votes did somehow count. There is no “consensual electoral system” in La République du Cameroun, even for their own citizens as Prof. Kamto himself has often lamented, so Ambazonians would have to be gullible indeed to suppose that they could achieve any self-determination through a La République du Cameroun-organised vote, already disowned by their own citizens, including principally the gentleman advocating such a folly! Prof. Kamto would appear to be asking Ambazonians to replay the mistakes of the past by diving head-first into an ill-defined “association” merely in the “hope that it will turn out alright as we are brothers”! Ambazonians, you have learnt from those mistakes at high and continuing cost. Do you want La République du Cameroun militia firing into school-bound traffic, or even controlling such traffic? In what country on the planet would such victims spurn the opportunity to break free from such a fix?

But that is not all. There are more fundamental legal issues at play to do with the Bamenda High Court ruling, HCB 28/92, a fact which makes Prof. Kamto’s apparent offer more threatening, compounded by his renown as lawyer. HCB 28/92 ruled that La République du Cameroun is/was “forcefully and illegally occupying Southern Cameroons, unless La République du Cameroun showed just cause”. La République du Cameroun has never addressed, appealed or tackled the ruling in any way other than through “force”, even before the recent seven year period of heightened genocidal acts in Southern Cameroons by her militias.

HCB 28/92 says, in so many words, that La République du Cameroun and Ambazonia are separate nations on the basis of La République du Cameroun having had her international borders set in 1960, and reaffirmed same in 1984, thereby releasing Southern Cameroons from the unratified process of a “federation of equal states” engaged in 1961. As long as La République du Cameroun is called La République du Cameroun, it has those borders and zero right to any Ambazonian territory -economic, social or political. In fact, better still, it does not matter if La République du Cameroun changes her name, for it is now like we are in the plebiscite campaign period when decisions could not be made for either La République du Cameroun or Southern Cameroons except by those separate peoples themselves, separately.

La République du Cameroun citizens were not allowed to vote in the plebiscite and they are not allowed to vote today in Ambazonia or offer Ambazonians a vote in La République du Cameroun! Ambazonia regained the right to her own destiny in 1984 and her citizens do not need to be offered any thing in La République du Cameroun’s political system. What’s more, the value of such an “offer” to take take part in an illegal election under an electoral system, he himself rejects, and when Ambazonia has a righteous legal and moral cause is frankly disingenuous and nebulous.

The real danger and loss if any Ambazonians fall for this wooden horse would be that they provide the fig-leaf/thread of “representation” by which La République du Cameroun’s forceful occupation hangs over Ambazonia. Is it possible Prof. Kamto can make this “offer” not because he expects to win the La République du Cameroun election but because he is one of the La République du Cameroun class of “gouvernants” who want to continue pillaging Southern Cameroons and their own country on behalf of a foreign manipulative colonial power?

Ambazonians beware! It is not your vote that they want! They just want to be able to say you are represented in their system so that they can continue to exploit you as they have always done. Reject this “offer” and La République du Cameroun will have to leave so that you can run your own country and benefit from your own efforts and hard work. It is not even a realistic offer as it is illegal under international law for La République du Cameroun to try to organise their elections on Ambazonian territory.

Please recall that there is a Presidential Executive Order reminding Ambazonians of their freedom to shun La République du Cameroun’s make-believe.

Advancing the Ambazonian Cause

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

In 2023 large a segment of the Ambazonian community was subjected to various schemes on how to find a peaceful solution to the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle.

By definition “the” solution to a liberation struggle can only be liberation. And yet many of the afore-mentioned schemes dwelled on the nebulous idea of a negotiated settlement with the opaque notion of “inclusivity” which implied Ambazonians should include the whole spectrum from the ARF+ actively risking their lives to expel La République du Cameroun, to “federalists”.  While it was ultimately self-defeating to attempt to build a mass of squabbling parties hardly able to agree among themselves on what to negotiate for, that was not the weakest point of most of those schemes. Some of them sought to be more “inclusive” by including “unionists” in order to prove how much more “reasonable” than La République du Cameroun Ambazonians are! Yes, they tried, in earnest, to sell the idea that unionists, who one would not imagine tolerating a label of “Ambazonian”, should be part of conferences to form Ambazonian “positions” to take to the ” international community ” to take to La République du Cameroun to compel her to “to grant” a referendum to allow “all” Ambazonians to decide. Not only has the international community kept their counsel even in the face of shootings of toddlers on their way to school, for one and various other atrocities, it is also clear that La République du Cameroun has no legal status nor inclination to proceed as the schemers proposed. Why would they give up the simpler and more straightforward opportunity to pacify a relatively small protest, burning diplomatic bridges subsequently and then “grant” more than they would have had to earlier and at lower cost? Granted, it is theoretically possible when a state of “mutually harmful stalemate” is reached but that is, to say the least, remote; and, in fact only undermined by a naïve coalition with the fail-assured feature of trying to get La République’s allies to “help” draw up a “possible” negotiation strategy on behalf of Ambazonia.

Those schemes have accrued what logic dictated they “could” – no progress towards any solution. La République du Cameroun spent the year trying to prove “normalcy”, another of those typically La République du Cameroun words, had returned. “Normalcy” is the unjust, unfair, nepotistic, corrupt system in which Ambazonians were rooted to the base of a proxy colonial hegemony which hardly benefitted any of the “subjects” of La République du Cameroun, but gave them the illusion of being better off than “Les Bamendas”.

They thought if they could convince the nebulous international community that they had a corrupt stable system they could avoid criticism. As absurd as the strategy was it was more logical than the idea of an inclusive Ambazonian coalition for negotiation. After all some experts pointed out that referenda are normally requested by “state parties”, in our case, that meant La République du Cameroun would tremble at the consensus of our coalition and ask the international community to run a referendum for us.

Cynics would suggest the conference fiver season was a time wasting scheme to try to dampen the momentum of the liberation struggle.

It did not work …

How should/could the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle be advanced from here?

Given that La République du Cameroun is not looking like negotiating anytime soon, preferring to rely on out-waiting Ambazonia it is time to move on, and moving on is relatively straightforward in its meaning. Ambazonians need to start actively exercising their independence by running their own affairs.

One domain where this should be propagated is education. Ambazonian Community Institutions need to expand. It was already always the case that schools in Ambazonia were paid for by the community even when “created” by La République du Cameroun’s empirical edict.

There are thousands of Community schools in Ambazonia where the running and management is Ambazonian. They need to go the extra final step and implement the Ambazonian Curriculum and Ambazonian School calendar. Those two steps would notify the international community more than any perfectly crafted negotiating position that any coalition could device if the conferences were to take place. Those acts would also break the “waiting” state that Ambazonian citizens have been in during the Liberation Struggle by assuring all Ambazonian parents of their children’s normal and continued development – the well known ambition of all Ambazonian parents.

The third strand in the education battle would be certification and all Ambazonian Entities vying for independence should don their thinking hearts and device a way to by-pass any La République du Cameroun involvement in assessment and certification. Even before the Liberation Struggle La République du Cameroun’s involvement had diluted and trashed our children’s certificates to the point where even after taking post-sixteen exams in English they still needed to take language assessments before they could be admitted to higher education abroad. That problem would therefore be solved with the knowledge that Ambazonian assessments have the integrity that La République du Cameroun systems singularly lack – quite apart from the desire for independence.

In summary Ambazonia’s future is in Ambazonian hands to do.

Presidential Executive Order reiterates illegality of LRC occupation, rejects and bans their activities in Ambazonia

Featured

IG reaffirms Ambazonian legal “separateness” in formal ban on La République du Cameroun electioneering on Ambazonian soil.

In a new Presidential Order, signed by Interim President Mariana Njomia, the IG has cautioned Ambazonian citizens against becoming unwitting dupes of La République du Cameroun’s illegal activities in the coming months.

With the pressing need for La République du Cameroun’s seven year charade coming in 2025, it is expected that they and their allies and agents will be trying to make-believe that they have   Ambazonian representation in their country’s “gouvernants'” ranks.

The IG reminds La République du Cameroun and all her allies to stay clear of the separate demarcated national territory on Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia)  as  La République du Cameroun borders were established on 1/1/1960 in the AU Charter which La République du Cameroun has signed up to.

La République du Cameroun herself  definitively released Southern Cameroons from the oft-violated and unconfirmed “union” when they reverted  their sphere of sovereignty to their territorial borders at independence on 1/1/1960, by renaming themselves to their birth name. In that act, they irreversibly lost any rights over Southern Cameroons’ politics, economy or resources, whether they could parade any unwitting stooges or not.

As HCB28/92 implies, La République du Cameroun remains an “illegal and forceful occupier”, a status which cannot change unless Ambazonia and La République du Cameroun decide separately whether to have any form of association. In other words, Ambazonia has the sovereign decision with no regard or influence from La République du Cameroun and any intimidation, especially in the counter-productive form of colonial style terror is not moving any of our citizens anywhere but towards independence. Killing toddlers on their way to school, killing pregnant women, abducting Ambazonians, “neutralising” Ambazonian youths  because they are “suspected separatists” need to draw the condemnation and sanctions of the international community and the ICJ.

Daring Move rules of engagement already specifically authorize ARF+ to target “allies and agents” of La République du Cameroun. All those who shall attempt to carry out any activities in preparation for or in direct acts of “electioneering” or claim to represent Ambazonia in the foreign ranks of La République du Cameroun parliament or any of their “gouvernants'” institutions shall automatically join the ranks of the pre-warned legitimate targets of the ARF+.

Ambazonian citizens are well advised to assert their legal right not to be accosted or coerced by any La République du Cameroun agents as LRC has not shown cause to still be in Ambazonia, contrary to the ruling of the Bamenda High Court in HCB28/92.  They cannot hold legal elections in Ambazonia. Period.

NIGER :: NIGERIAN HEAD OF STATE CALLS FOR REPAYMENT OF FRENCH LOOTTING IN AFRICA

Featured

Niger, it should be recalled, was under threat from ECOWAS, which proposed to invade Niger “to restore democratic rule” in a country where Uranium is produced but most of the population do not have access to electricity.

The main beneficiary of this mineral was France who, as in their other African colonies, had the monopoly position of having first refusal to Niger’s resources as well as being the sole conduit by which they could sell any products.

Incidentally, ECOWAS has been stalling on its ECO project. It is a no-brainer scheme to implement a single currency in the West African block but which has, as is the likely evolution of any pro-African project, slowed right down to zero speed. Before this the negotiations, surprise surprise, involved France. Yes the same France which is so far away from the location of ECOWAS and not an African country in any sense. A single currency would simplify trade no-end, much like the euro does in Europe so why is the ECO stalling?

Well the reason for their [French] involvement is that their colonies are members of ECOWAS – of course, they would prefer those colonies to been referred to as “former colonies” even though they have had control of those colonies’ “currency” along with those of the colonies in central Africa; as well as the reserves of all of those colonies. Hence the advent of the ECO would, should anyway, spell a logical end to the French colonial arrangement. And that is why France is at the table, some might say, throwing sand in all the gullible flattered African partners.

Hence when the military took over in Niger and made clear they wished to break with France, it did not occur to ECOWAS that their threats and mobilization to basically restore French hegemony in Niger by invading a fellow African country at the instigation their European partner was “odd”. They insisted that “democracy must be protected”. of course not the people, who Ambazonia News imagines are the people in the phrase “A government of the people, for the people by the people”. ECOWAS thought Niger’s people should continue to produce uranium and continue to hand it over to another country and live in abject poverty as long as “democracy was protected”.

The invasion was never really likely! Not even flattered African “leaders” are so daft – well, not all of them.

Now according to this quoted article on camer.be:

<<Begin quote>>

Brigadier General Abdourahamane Tiani, Head of State of Niger, recently made a strong statement, demanding that France recognize and repair the damage caused by more than six decades of plundering of African resources. In an exclusive interview broadcast on national television and relayed by African media, the Head of State underlined the importance of the currency as a symbol of sovereignty, recalling the years of spoliation of the continent’s resources.

According to the Burkina Faso press agency, Tiani declared: “France has despoiled us for more than 107 years and it must pay in cash the debts of 65 years of systematic plundering of our resources and the 42 years, we will find a timetable for let us be even with France.”

Referring to the creation of a single currency for the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), the Nigerien Head of State indicated that this decision would be taken in due time. Furthermore, he criticized the persistence of certain member states in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), stressing that this hinders the exit from this organization, which has become obsolete since 1990 according to him.

In the same context, the Head of State insisted on the fact that currency is a symbol of sovereignty, and affirmed that his country is engaged in a process aimed at recovering its total sovereignty. He also called for a reassessment of the recent history of African states, with the objective of making decisions in the interest of the people of the continent, firmly denouncing the “cash cow” status that France would have imposed on several African nations.

General Tiani clarified that the creation of a currency specific to the Alliance of Sahel States is a crucial step towards economic decolonization, and assured that the member states of the organization are equipped with experts to make decisions. necessary at the appropriate time. “

Feb 11 2024 – IG warns Ambazonians of Likely LRC schemes.

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

La République du Cameroun seems to think that march-passes are “something” to prove normalcy.

It goes without saying that Ambazonians rejected “normalcy” way back in 2017 and embraced their independence and dignity.

Try as La République du Cameroun might, they have not been able to convince even the black legs who are tempted to collect their cash to deliver nothing. Well, apart from a cover for “les gouvernants’ ” embezzlement schemes across the border in their country, even as they have embarked on extracting blood from stones with huge price hikes for their poor.

They will, no doubt try again this year.

Under Daring Move guidelines, ARF+ are authorised to secure the dignity and sovereignty of Ambazonia from the La République du Cameroun’s illegal occupiers at all cost, protected by Ambazonia’s right to external self-determination which has variously been established in Banjul by the African Commission; in Bamenda by the Bamenda High Court in its judgement HCB 28/92, to name but these two.

Black legs and all other allies and cronies of La République du Cameroun are a legitimate targets whose time has come. The IG is warning all Ambazonia to avoid being the scapegoats this weekend.

IG President to address Ambazonia

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Marianta Njomia, IG President, is on ARF-TV to address Ambazonia at the end of 2023 on 31/12/23.

This year has been marked by fevered activity in various bids to address the perceived lack of unity of Ambazonian entities.

President Njomia has consistently insisted that the Ambazonian Independentists, whichever groups they affiliate with do have a unity if purpose in working for Ambazonia’s complete and unconditional independence, even if the methods are diverse.

The President notably signalled the Daring Move early in September 2023 in support of the idea that Ambazonia’s Independence drive will advance best on the back of ground actions more than on a grand conference of a spectrum of people from “unionists” through “federalists” to some Independentists.

Ambazonia News will be keeping a close eye of the president’s review of 2023.

Daring Move Lessons and Initial Assessment

FeaturedAmbazonian Flag

Daring Move was signaled by IG President Marianta in September.

In the immediate following time period there was an uptick in hostile nudges on the occupiers to leave our land.

The evidence shows that that uptick is continuing with widespread actions across most of Ambazonia.

The response from La Republique du Cameroun has been to activate and intensify the fifth column of people popularly known as “black legs”.

Our response to black legs is to sanction the right of ARF+ to prioritise their safety. One of the criteria for the Daring Move is that its integrity and effectiveness depends on the safety of our ARF+ and they will be backed under international law to ensure their safety at all cost, in order to ensure the effectiveness and success of the Daring Move.

Black legs constitute a legitimate target for being clear and present impediment to the Daring Move through their threats to the integrity and safety of the ARF+ and, thence, to our people and nation. The IG will back our ARF+ to protect our people and nation and themselves from the black legs.

To all black legs, whether you call yourself ‘elites’ or unionists, your time is up. You are no longer to approach or threaten any of our ARF. Neither are we tolerating any “advice” to go to DDR.

Beware our Nation Ambazonia is here to stay and our Self-defence forces have legal rights under our internationally recognized entitlement to self-defence from hostile and illegal occupation. Our external self-determination is enshrined and locked and our nation will deal with those threats on a war footing.

Black legs you are on notice that our ARF have orders and authorisation to protect the integrity of their legitimate operations in the name of protecting the dignity, lives and livelihoods of our citizens. Fraternising with the occupiers is enough of a crime for it offers them encouragement and comfort on our territory. Endangering or discouraging our forces is quite another level of treasonous and must be punishable.

The IG is reviewing and acting to protect the Daring Move by updating methods and ways of working through the interpretation of the newest data from initial outings.

We back our ARF to fly our flag on our land. “Black legs” beware. Your time is up!

The document contains survival tips for Ambazonians in the event that post-electoral tensions spill over into violence.

Though some Ambazonians might see an advantage in joining protests/demonstrations to support Tchiroma, as a potential proponent of a negotiated settlement of the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle, the CC prioritizes role in safeguarding the lives and livelihoods of Ambazonians who have already suffered nine years while the citizens of La Republique du Cameroun looked on, sometimes even reveling in the ” neutralisation” of Ambazonian youths and children as their military propagandists used to gamify their futile attempt to suppress the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle.

Mr. Biya’s Invisible Rule: Implications for Cameroon’s Future

Ambazonian Flag

La République du Cameroun charade to heat up as invisible man still favourite!

As the “official campaigning period” for La République du Cameroun presidential elections begins Mr Biya is still invisible but he has everything had under control as his proxies continue to act in his stead, creating or maintaining the myth that he is above the fray. In reality is he is below the fray! In a normal democracy he and his coterie would have left the scene in disgrace after their abject performance. Everyone knows that. The electorate knows. The contenders know and the international community knows. Apart from his political failure to deliver, when he has in fact “punished” the people, Mr Biya is in no fit state to run a country or any institution. He never was even in 2018 and has spent the last term absent and invisible. So how is “he” still running this time and slated to “win”? Ambazonia does not care. Le Cameroun c’est le Cameroun and Ambazonia is not in La République du Cameroun.

In this post Ambazonia News explores the implications of the La République du Cameroun “elections” looking at the possible future long term outcomes that could flow therefrom.

RDPC and Mr Biya

Mr Biya’s La République du Cameroun has failed in negotiations with Ambazonia, resorting to sponsoring proxies to pretend to represent Ambazonia in La République du Cameroun. They allow themselves to be called “elites” and have as their main function to appear on the scene as “anglophones enjoying rights” as part of La République du Cameroun. The reason is that HCB 28/92 still hangs over La République du Cameroun and they need to maintaining a de facto representation to hold the tenuous line that Ambazonia [NOSO, as they prefer to say] is represented and they are trying to “grant” more. This line will never hold as HCP 28/92 established Ambazonia as a separate state from La République du Cameroun. The African Convention also establishes that La République du Cameroun has boundaries and borders established at independence on January 1st 1960. Clearly Ambazonia is not within those borders. This position was triggered when Mr Biya unilaterally changed the name to the pre-Federation name, thereby, reverting, that is, turning back the clock to move La République du Cameroun back within their real borders. It is important to note that even before then, the United Republic of Cameroon, [URC]and the Federal Republic of Cameroon [FRC], before had both only existed de facto as the two states had not formalized their “joining” for Southern Cameroons independence as intended and expected by the United Nations decolonization process.

In 1984 when La République du Cameroun was reverted in Mr Biya’s decree to “consolidate unity” what he did, in fact, was to secede La République du Cameroun even from the URC, itself already fragile due to the incomplete process.

The present position is that La République du Cameroun has no sovereignty over Ambazonia and cannot grant any favours, be they special status or representation in La République du Cameroun parliament. The Ambazonia Liberation Struggle is legally won. Any negotiation would be to draw up the arrangements and processes for La République du Cameroun to withdraw and to establish a neighbourly way of co-existing. Any further idea of any “close association” would only flow after the established acceptance and demonstration that La République du Cameroun and Ambazonia are separate sovereign states making their own separate and independent decision on any association beyond being neighbours.

This is known to the RPDC and Mr. Biya as they tried in circa 2017 to revert the La République du Cameroun name to URC before, we imagine, realising they had closed a one-way door.

Other Contenders

The SDF has promised to solve the “anglophone crisis” by “leasing all prisoners” and holding reset talks. This is not a good enough promise for Ambazonia as it assumes Ambazonia is part of La République du Cameroun, needing the “grant” of an internal solution. Clearly SDF is mistaken and should take legal advice as their position, even if they could win La République du Cameroun elections and attempt it, would not resolve HCB 28/92. They need to know that any government of La République du Cameroun has not legal standing to do anything in Ambazonia.

Furthermore, in the of SDF is guilty of proving the fig leaf as part of the “representing elite” that allow La République du Cameroun to pretend “anglophones” [meaning Ambazonia] are represented in their institutions. Their recent sind-song in La République du Cameroun parliament, ironically using Ambazonian Liberation songs, only highlights their position as that”front” which has been deployed by RDPC and La République du Cameroun to “show” Ambazonian “representation”. Having failed to raise one debate about Ambazonia over the years the sing-song begs the question of how they could show their faces and claim to have any thoughts on Ambazonia. Even if they are not complicit, their act was all a clever part of the “demonstration” of representation which La République du Cameroun needs. If they are unwitting dupes, they should realise that that charade was only orchestrated to provide more media for the library of “anglophones enjoying rights and freedoms”. Reality, when they reflect on it is that they would have been picked up straight away to nearby SED, and could still be once the “elections” are “formally won” and Mr Biya’s proxies and installed. The SDF are validators as usual and performing the extra function of appearing to represent Ambazonia.

Ambazonians need to avoid this trap. The SDF will not win and their only role is to provide the front to show that “anglophones” took part and were represented. Bes avoided by Ambazonians.

Akere Muna

Barrister Muna has stated that “we will create a federation” to solve the “bad governance”. He too, strangely for an eminent lawyer, is ignoring HCB 28/92 or the fact that La République du Cameroun being La République du Cameroun means Ambazonia is outside their borders. He too is one of those validator “elites” performing the task of “showing anglophones enjoying rights and freedoms”. He has no chance of winning and if he did, his solution of a federation smacks of the same methods as Mr Biya’s RDPC, who impose. Imposition on Ambazonia would be illegal and null and void as it would not resolve the fundamental issue of separate states. De facto does not work.

Issa Tchiroma

Candidate Issa Tchiroma has been suspected in some quarters of being a trojan horse, out to dilute the “opposition” and return to his long-time coalition with RDPC when they win. Ambazonia News is not interested except in his statement that the “Anglophone Crisis” would be solved through a referendum, should he win. If he wins, the modalities of such a referendum could be explored but this is a very remote prospect which should not be taken for granted.

What Mr Tchiroma needs to do is expand the explanation and openly acknowledge that only the “anglophone regions” would have the final say in that referendum. HCB 28/92 needs to be factored in to accept that La République du Cameroun does not include Ambazonia within their borders.

Other Contenders have made vaguer noises probably being realistic about their prospects and not being dry-eye enough to make grand promises even in their roles s validators for the RDPC.

Ambazonians “Anglophones”

Ambazonia is not part of La République du Cameroun as their borders were established in 1960 before Southern Camerouns [ Ambazonia’s] independence. The Federation that was supposed to arise from the “joining” did not come to pass the treaty was not signed. Then the Federation was illegally abandoned without consulting the separate state of “West Cameroon” or “East Cameroon”. As the law stands, a vote by an Ambazonian or anglophone in any La République du Cameroun elections is completely invalid and does not count as Ambazonia is not part of that state. That may explain why Ambazonians get nothing from them. Voting would also give the false impression that you as an Ambazonia [anglophone] accept to be represented in their country. The reality is that you cannot as the legal state does not hold and cannot hold. By not taking part in their election, we Ambazonians will be showing that we are a separate county who wants them to pack up and leave so that we can start running our own country for ourselves. Imagine what we can do without those roadblocks and thieves on our roads collecting our money for no reason!

The International Partners

The international community and partners of good faith have a big role to play in educating the political classes in La République du Cameroun from RDPC to all the others to the implications of HCB 28/92 and the La République du Cameroun secession of 1984. The international partners can play a vital role in setting out the realistic position that the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle will only be resolved in genuine external self-determination negotiations. The time to that process will depend on the critical mass of the La République du Cameroun political class coming to terms with the route to peace being parted from the continued idea of NOSO.

Ambazonian leaders should sound out te international community parters and friends to undertake those contacts while the La République du Cameroun political classes are “thinking”.

Ambazonia has risen to fall no more.
