Ambazonia Coalition Team is a gathering of many Ambazonian Independentist entities who first coalesced in the run-up to the “Swiss Process”. They were “approached” as representative body of Ambazonian entities to talk with when the heat persuaded La République du Cameroun to dip her toe in a potential negotiation process. ACT was the Ambazonian side in the Swiss Process, gaining valuable experience and diplomatic contacts; and again took part in the Canada Pre-talks
Ambazonia News is profiling ACT in sequence intended to publicize its existence, objectives, membership and its potential role in the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle.
Ambazonia News will be open to, indeed relying on, the experience of founder members and functionaries of ACT. If any of you, members of ACT, are contacted please be generous with your time and experience as Ambazonia needs you! Even if you are not explicitly contacted, Ambazonia News would welcome any clarifications and details that you wish to submit in comments.
The founding groups in ACT included APLM, SCADEF, MoRISC, IG, SCNC, SCARM, RoAN, SCAPO, ARF… all committed independentists. There are also a several independent individual members including residents of G0 and G1.
ACT is a very useful open channel to all the member groups and exactly the group which has fostered a unity of purpose without announcing it. This happened naturally for despite the fallacy of lack of unity, the Coalition carries out regular weekly meetings which ensure ideas are exchanged efficiently and productively. ACT has even on occasion brought together all the major Ambazonian entities in its fireside chats.
When La République du Cameroun’s aims in both the Swiss Process and Canada facilitated Pre-talks are considered it can only be said that ACT won both rounds. In each case La République du Cameroun played for time hoping that the Ambazonian Liberation Struggle would slow down, then making the plea to the facilitators that they wished to deal on the basis of an internal crisis, hence through the failed national dialogue, both times thanks to the vastly undervalued ACT setup, Ambazonian resolve held firm on the objective of independence.
Other independentist entities are always welcome to join ACT where the experience exists if dealing with the two mentioned international partners as well as others, well apart from Swiss and Canada.
