The SCAC is an internationally mentored and supported effort by various Ambazonian Independentist entities to coalesce the plethora of conference initiatives into one logical inclusive conference of Ambazonians.
Unlike the SCPC the conference that should accrue from the SCAC will be one for independentist entities by design.
ACT entities believe in Ambazonian independence and would concentrate on coalescing Ambazonian groups. At the very least SCAC will boast transparency in being upfront about the Ambazonian Coalition’s unity on the common purpose -independence.
Given that La République du Cameroun still needs to be convinced to come to the table Ambazonia News believes that any Ambazonia-side concessions such as might be interpreted from the vague phrase “peace and justice” plays straight into La République du Cameroun’s game plan of offering a “special status” and waiting to continue the assimilation attempt, to which their President confessed. Ambazonians should rely on the righteousness of their cause and ignore what is not even a promise of a negotiation but the trick of dangling the threat of “missing the opportunity to negotiate” – with a party which has chickened out of two negotiation opportunities! They have disowned the Swiss Process with a flimsy excuse that the old dictator had managed to hold off international sanctions by semi-engaging in the process. They then provided the counter-argument themselves by attending the Canada pre-talks before, again disowning them in a more desperately clumsy way by having a public spat with the head of Global Affairs Canada! In spite of the diplomatic faux pas sources close to the pre-talks have not definitively given up on the the idea of an eventual Canadian mediation, hence, for instance the previous play on the idea of “preparing for a referendum” by some Southern Cameroons entities – as distinct from Ambazonian Independentists, who while accepting the idea of a referendum, see it as a remote future prospect to come only after the [Ambazonian Independentists] have “dragged La République du Cameroun to the negotiation table”.
At Ambazonia News we believe that the threat Ambazonia faces is that of letting our Liberation Struggle lose momentum and collapse while we foolishly fall for the trick of being secluded in a talking shop to the exclusion of what progressed Ambazonia this far – a hostile environment for La République and her allies of the fifth column or foreign interests on our land.
Ambazonia News encourages all Ambazonians to join the Consultation to ensure our future is based on their voices.
